  1. “thank you for sharing my story”

Makes you wonder what can be accomplished by just listening and making sure people are treated right

    1. Democrats empowered ppls of color to wear swimsuits 😆 While the murder rate of young blk men is sky rocketing. Illegal guns and drugs from the border are everywhere 🤣😂😂 yes but your 12 year old can wear a completely moronic outfit. Their is no such thing as a blk life. That’s more of your bs (Ba’al worship) $cience.

  2. One question CNN failed to address: Was this official acting on his own or do they have established rules prohibiting political slogans on their suits? If the latter is true, this girl had no grounds to consider her political views an exception. The rules should apply equally to everyone.

    1. I agree, what happens if someone shows up with a pro life swimsuit? Or a legalize weed swimsuit? It just sets a stupid precedent, regardless of whether you support said movement or not.

    2. No but ‘give peace a chance’ would also be a violation of the competition uniform rule, which definitely isn’t political. Its just a rule to stop exactly this scenario of us dorks arguing about it. Just because we agree with the sentiment you don’t just get to break the rules.

  3. Anybody remember what the ’C’ in YMCA stands for?

I fail to see how such a such a slogan can give advantage in athletic performance. If not, neither does it violate any sportsmanship.

    1. The rule violation in this case was the size of the logo on the swimsuit. This rule would apply to anything written on the swimsuit that is not a team name or logo. It is meant to keep the focus on athletic performance and not turn swimmers into advertisements or activists.

  4. What a beautiful, vibrant, well spoken young lady !!! I’m so glad that she has such a great attitude towards her racial identity!!! KUDOS TO HER PARENTS, ALSO !!! They are doing a fantastic job supporting their child !!! What A great family🤗👍

  5. Okay, No Disrespect, but truly if she ONLY went to compete, she would have taken off the suit. It’s her choice, her consequences. i’m glad the Y stood up for her.

  6. Tell people that he pointed a gun at the cops after they announced they were police multiple times and told him to get on the ground

  7. I have a child who started on a swim team with no other blacks children in his groups. It was difficult I can say that. I understand how they feel.

  8. Girl: Wears “end racism” shirt.
Also girl: Look I’m “black” accept my “Black Lives Matter” political swimsuit.
    🙄
