THE IMPLICATIONS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INTEGRITY IN PUBLIC OFFICE ACT

Johnson has been explaining the implications of the implementation of the Integrity in Public Office Act.  The Act came to effect on September 1, 2008.

 

Mr. Johnson was at the time speaking at the swearing-in of members of the Integrity Commission at a ceremony at the State House on Tuesday, September 2, 2008.

NATIONAL SECURITY MINISTER BLACKMOORE TO PARTICIPATE IN 8TH CONFERENCE OF DEFENCE MINISTERS OF THE A

Rayburn Blackmoore will participate in the 8th Conference of the Defence Ministers of the Americas (CDMA), which will be held from September 2nd to September 6th 2008 in Banff, Canada.

 

The theme for the 2008 Conference is “Hemispheric, Regional and Sub-regional Defence and Security Enhancement: Confidence Building through Cooperation and Collaboration”. The agenda  to be developed in consultation with CDMA countries and with regional experts, will focus on the increasing convergence of hemispheric security and defence issues  and the resultant need to cooperate more closely in order to achieve the goals of security, democratic development and prosperity.
