  1. I wonder how long cops took to go in, despite it being a 70 year old man who was being held down. I mean officer safety is what’s most important, especially when little kids are being massacred.

    1. Strange, whenever a “17 year old” kills three (or more) in any inner-city on any given day, it’s anything _BUT_ news.

    2. @Nathan Sutphin if cops aren’t held responsible then stop paying them with taxpayers money, they can be just voluntary! & take their guns away except for special trained swat teams!

    3. @Bev Sputler Cops should be held accountable for their actions. However committing suicide by running into a hail of bullets is not what you pay them 40k a year for Bev. If you think that is what you pay them for then I suggest you sign up to be a cop and do some training. Then maybe you will understand reality.

  2. The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is an unarmed good guy willing to step into the breech and do what most can’t or won’t.

    1. @Gato 008 they can stop these things eventually, but a lot of people die before they arrive. It’s an arrangement that homicidal/suicidal creeps seem to be familiar and satisfied with.

    2. @Steven Harder Once again I see my comment went way over your head. Seriously, stop ridiculing yourself this way.
Every time you comment I’m reminded that 50% of Americans are of below average intelligence.

    1. Yes. Doing the same thing over and over again expecting change is the mere definition of insanity according to Einstein.

  3. Imagine..good guys without guns taking a shooter down. This is getting a bit ridiculous

    1. @Levan Mikadze petty assumptions based on nothing.. Did we see any footage from witnesses stating when and where he started opening fire ?

    1. “And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

    2. @Don gouging the F out of us! The last time oil was 119.00 a barrel. The price at the pump was a little over 3 dollars.

  4. The cops asked the guy who held down the shooter,to bring him to the jail, because they were concerned with officer safety.

    1. @Sailor Slay ok so you don’t mine forgetting the facts like CNN. I have one question. Are you thrilled with Biden and all of his discussions? If so what do you like the most that’s hes accomplished. In your answer I’m not asking about any other president just Biden. What do you love about him the most? And his greatest accomplishment?

  5. Amazing that a man without guns nor body armor was able to take down a shooter. Texas cops should take notes.

    1. If there was any there, innocent life would no doubt have been saved (but we all know that).

  6. And of course we can’t limit the “rights” of gun owners in any way, shape or form. God forbid. Thank goodness for the good guy without a gun

    1. @deplorable federalist to what extent? Heller said gun regulations were still legitimate according to Scalia. Just like SCOTUS is going to overturn abortion rights, the Heller decision could be overturned. Not likely anytime soon of course

  7. “Smith is a local firearms dealer who was previously accused of and acquitted of impersonating a police officer.” This is a quote from NBC. Not my own words.
If this is true, I wonder now if there was an argument going on about the recent shootings and gun laws.

    1. @Kyle Dupont that’s just a theory. That’s why I said I ‘wonder’. Not that I know. Obviously there was a confrontation. They were eating a meal. He didn’t walk in and suddenly start shooting. They all knew each other.

    1. “We Are Stronger”

A Poem by Steven F Gooden
We’re never as strong, as we are until we have to be. Never Do as much, unless the need we see. Only give our best, when we fail at mediocrity. We Love rather than hate when we admit we’re one humanity. We always give more, when compassion moves our heart with unbridled generosity. We Become more of our potential when we are made to see, that clearly our minds can believe in unfathomable possibilities, while seizing every opportunity, here in lies one’s destiny.  More than our scars, higher than our stars, for in  our flaws are what defines our features, they’re uniquely ours, as human creatures.
We can run faster than on our slowest day. Reason better, and thinking it through all the way, regardless which direction our  emotions may sway. We can find our voice when speechless, our strong words with meekness and our Courage in weakness. Always patience not quickness. Silence for peace than loudness, quietness of fear, not hopeless, for time and effort  are equally unbiased. We are more than the stories we’re told, we’re the one’s we write, each page unfold. We are the sum of our Lies and truth, fantasy, fiction, faith, and myths, no matter how uncouth. These are what shape us, our lives lived is the proof. We can be more right than wrong. More just than judge. More godlike than unlike. Reflecting Sunlight in our darkest night.
Providing refuge. Never more alive until we die within and begin again. A Human Ark Divine in our human spark.

  8. America: “Yes, all these guns are causing a lot of death every year… but that’s a price we’re willing to pay so can keep easy access to our toys.”

Ok. But then can we at least stop pretending like we care or are shocked when stuff like this happens?

  9. My God, what has happened to people. No value of life, no respect, no displaying of a modicum of decorum. Such inhumane actions. This country is truly going directly to hell.

    1. 😂 . . . the way some people thing God works . . . like if He was a genie just to ” please ” people whenever they want .

    2. @Miki van Duyn
      Let’s break down this statement.

      1. “Too many guns…”

      Ok, I agree with you.

      2.”…for all you fools.”

So, these gun owners you speak of, are fools.

Pretty harsh. I agree with you to an extent. Those gun owners that don’t want common sense laws are fools.

Nicely stated, if not particularly clear.

Your next statement will probably be an insult.

Usually that’s the end of a conversation, because no one is really communicating when the insults start.

So, I’ll just say, ” Have a great day.”

      ✌🏼🦁

    3. @Tpndgo 20 “just to please people whenever they want”? Asking for protection from harm at a Church picnic is somehow self gratification now? Imagine your God watching the murderer walking over to the picnic and saying to himself “I know you’ve just prayed to me, but I won’t be your personal genie!” Absurd! I hear the free will argument all the time. “Oh God won’t violate our free will, not even the free will of a murderer!” He doesn’t have to violate free will. He could have jammed the gun, or caused it to malfunction. Why not? According to most Christians he cures cancers or “blocks those cancers” but won’t block a gun? Sounds like cherry picking to me!

  10. I’d like to know more about the man who took the shooter down. Respect and kudos to him for his bravery. 🇨🇦

  11. This is crazy! Even the elderly are getting in on the whole mass shooting thing. Unbelievable!

  12. Prayers to the families and friends of the deceased .. the value of life is at an all time low in this country… God please BLESS AMERICA!
