‘A Dark Moment’: Alleged Trump Ukraine Crime Sends GOP Into Spiraling Circus | MSNBC

Mitch McConnell admits we are at "a dark moment" for Trump. Aired on 10/23/19.

'A Dark Moment': Alleged Trump Ukraine Crime Sends GOP Into Spiraling Circus | MSNBC

  1. Are the Republicans scared of Trump or are the Republicans letting America crumble for their own political careers?

    1. @Arf Arf Bark Bark Rescue VID Dog Training The republicans work for the rich elite, the oligarchs and the would be oligarchs. The only thing standing between these people and absolute planet wide power is democratic nation states because, at least in theory, the citizens could elect politicians who take their wealth away and redistribute it to the people by building infrastructure and creating good, high paying, jobs. To this end the republican party wants, and has always wanted, to destroy the American government, or at least make it less democratic and reduce the rights of workers and the American people, suppress the vote, gerrymander, stack the courts(illegally if necessary), lie cheat, steal, anything to weaken the worlds greatest democracy. Because they are afraid of the US government, they would like to run the whole system in the same way that Russian and Chinese Oligarchs already do!

  2. Matt Gaetz looks like a 28 year old trying to crash a High School house party. And, the rest of the old geezers are crashing a Denny’s for a senior discount.

    1. He’s the guy who got caught drunk driving in daddy’s BMW…refused a breath test…and the judge let him off….Republican justice?

  3. The Constitution says the House of Representatives has the sole power of impeachment and does not have to even disclose that they are investigating the president for impeachment

    1. @Mark Haddox they have the right to do it behind closed doors. Also if you’re going to blame anyone blame both parties because republicans are apart of all 3 committees holding these hearings so it is bi-partisan. 2nd This witness today is reported from the pentagon so sensitive information may come forth. 3rd you wanna talk transparency, why does he try so hard to block Congress from seeing his tax returns? It specifically states in the federal law of the IRS that if Congress requests those tax returns they have to give it to them. And let’s not forget how he fought a state that made it law for any presidential candidate to show their tax returns or they will not be on the ballot. Or how about this Ukraine phone call? Why block witnesses from testifying if theres nothing to hide? Why tell 8 different people to defy congressional subpoenas? Yes….transparency gotta love it.

    2. @Mark Haddox What is Trump hiding by trying to keep witnesses from testifying or refusing to present relevant documentation?

    1. @Mark Haddox What do votes have to do with a legal subpoena? A vote on impeachment comes after the collection of evidence, not before. Man, the Republicans have really done a job on you and your understanding of how the process works.

    2. @Mark Haddox The Democrats already have 234 Democrats and one independent out of 435 that publicly voiced their support. That’s a clear majority. Pelosi wouldn’t have opened an official inquiry
      otherwise.

    3. @Fernando Castillo Despite hearing what you’ve said over and over again and from so many different sources, Trump supporters still insist that witnesses are supposed to be deposed in public. That includes witnesses who are discussing material sensitive enough that the hearings have to be conducted in the SCIF. There’s a point where unintentional ignorance becomes intentional obstinance. Trump Republicans left that crossroad in their rearview mirror ages ago.

    4. @Cynna1065 Until those same supporters are in a similar situation but will cry bloody murder the minute they feel mistreated. These cult republicans are a bunch of hypocrites.

    1. The Representatives are usually reflective of the people they represent. If they act like that, you can probably guess what their base are like. To say they likely don’t represent the best of America isn’t stretching plausibility. In other words, idiots choosing idiots will result in idiots in Congress, like what we’ve seen just now.

    2. @JamieLan2011 I live in a district of one of these Republikan goons. I’m a registered Republican but no longer supports this party turning ever fascist.

    1. They attack the process because they can’t attack the facts. Fox News keeps lying and the gullible MAGA Hats just keep sucking it up. Any other candidate would be better, and a more decent human being

    2. @Dave A. Bribery. Extortion. Abuse of power for personal political gain. And his stooges broke the law by bringing electronic equipment into a secure location.

  4. Congressional Republicans have lost their minds. Do they really believe this kind of behavior will impress the public ?
Today poll : 55% want Trump impeached and removed.
Keep your eyes on the polls.
Ignore the pro Trump / Putin trolls

    1. The fact GOP tried this stunt is proof that they know Trump did wrong. Another point is the White House trying to stop people testifying. If they had done nothing wrong, they would be more than happy to let people testify.

    2. @bingbonga binga You talk about stupid but you don’t even know when to say ‘to’ or ‘too’? Give up trying to troll. You’re not very good.

    3. @bingbonga binga and you are too stupid to know the difference between “too” and “to”. nice job. show the world who the intelligent choice is.

    4. They’re doing it for the sake of their base. So, back in their home state, maybe it could impressed the intellectually challenged Trump base.

    1. @Mark Haddox the video link you provided is fake news
If you believe this video, you are being conned by FAKE NEWS! Go and fact-check, you will see.
Actually the whole investigation of Burisma was concluded, with no wrong-doing found two years prior to Joe Biden’s trip, so the uploader of this video: “Democratic Info Sites” is strait up lying in the video’s description box. It is therefore fake news, maybe you morons who are watching this should go to actual news websites where information is actually fact-checked. The purpose of Biden’s trip was to get a Shorkin fired because he was turning a blind eye to corruption, that is why Obama, and all the rest of the western countries, France, Britain, Germany, Italy, just to name a few, wanted Shorkin gone, and that is why Biden is bragging about successfully accomplishing the mission.

    1. @gubberfuck Yep. The Republicans are trying for another Bill Barr moment — when he lied about the gist of the Mueller report. They’re trying to get their narrative out first because they know that most of the country won’t read the evidence or the articles of impeachment once they are presented. Thankfully, depositions are always private. I’m also thankful that the Republicans who were present for those hearing are suspiciously quiet. That tells me that the evidence is *particularly* bad and they don’t want to talk about it. If the evidence was in Trump’s favor, Republicans wouldn’t have been able to shut up about it.

    2. Exactly. We aren’t even having a formal impeachment yet. The Republicans are going down in flames… they know it… and they’re frantically trying to sabotage these proceedings. Bunch of frightened little babies, all of them.

    3. @Tessmage Tessera I wonder if they’ll have the audacity to try it again today? Every single time that the Republicans try to put their physical bodies between the president and imminent impeachment, the more that they risk their own power and reputations.

    4. @Cynna1065 Who knows… the House Republicans are little more than childish little punks. But you won’t see the Senate Republicans pulling any stunts like this. They have much more to lose and they know it.

  5. I am an independent voter , who will never vote republican again , nor my family nor my friends . This was beyond embarrassing .

    1. to me it doesn’t matter wot dems or republicans get in as long as they get rid trump and his slaverready trolls and start over so we can have a normal lives. you think?

    1. Storm Troopers are disciplined and operate under strict rules. These Republicunts are just old political circus freaks.

  6. Defending a con and a con’s lies and denying the inarguable truth has to be miserable…Just not miserable enough to get the t do right.

  7. All those people that just broke into a secured facility sworn oath to uphold the laws of the country not break them arrest them immediately

    1. The Democrats are playing this right. Let the Republicans continue to act crazy if they want, but keep collecting the evidence. Once the Dems are ready to draw up the articles of impeachment and they have collated all the evidence, present it to the public. Afterward, proceed to pick out every single Representative that was part of that literal bum’s rush and have them charged. Especially the ones who brought cell phones into a secure environment. There also needs to be an investigation to determine if tweets were actually sent from that location.

    2. I concur. If our politicians are lawless and lack principals, then they can’t expect that from the citizens who will eventually get sick of this circus and start a 2nd revolution to clean the slate.

    3. @Mike A revolution isn’t required to clean the slate. It seems that the constitution is working as intended. It’s slow, but it’s working. That is evident by the displays of Republican desperation.

    1. Unfortunately they do represent portions of America. They were voted in by the trashy dumbasses in their kkk districts that have been gerrymandered while the dems were asleep.

    2. yet, they ARE representing America. So, make sure you get them out of there, and that democrats grow some balls and fine/put in jail them for breaking their own rules.

  8. The Banana Republicans are throwing their lives and careers away for a conman who is loyal to no one other than himself. Idiots on full display.
