A Herschel Walker candidacy is a total nightmare for Senate Republicans

Former NFL star Herschel Walker is the leading Republican candidate in the Georgia Senate race, but his candidacy is worst-case scenario for Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to try to oust freshman Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock. In the latest episode of The Point, CNN’s Chris Cillizza outlines why Donald Trump’s support explains the Walker run.

    1. Dude, you have a picture of a puppy for identification. Hershel will walk through this election. Dominating as usual.

  1. “Turbulent personal history” means Herschel Walker is a domestic abuser, has been the subject of protective orders, has threatened to shoot family members in the head, and once held a gun to his former spouse’s head. You have to wonder if he has CTE from his football days. Sad.

    1. @Belly Dancer Em You’re fairly certain, but you don’t know.
I’m white and I’ve experienced racism first-hand; what does that have to do with anything?
And again, do you really think Obama, who is the son of a rich, white woman and the great-grandson of a slave owner, has lived the same way as the common black man in America?

    2. @John Patrick it’s a safe bet he experienced racism. After all the racist memes I have seen about him, I think it would be highly unlikely he never experienced it. Now knock it off

    3. @Belly Dancer Em No, I don’t think I will.
But thank you for the suggestion.
Again, you are assuming something about somebody that you’ve never met.
And do you really think that all black people experience racism?
Kanye West and Lil Wayne have both stated that they haven’t, are they not black, then?

  2. Walker has a dark past with mental illness and charges specific to sexual assault and physical assault? He’d fit right in.

    1. @Brian Jones that’s not racism. Skin color has nothing to do with the guy’s character flaws. Notice nobody is making similar claims about Raphael Warnock, who is also Black

  3. It’s going to be great watching this man have a nervous breakdown and assault some Fox News drone in an interview next year

    1. could you imagine him in the debates ,they would need security for sure as well as weapon checks at the door

  4. Sick of hearing about how the fate of the US and the planet is turning on the whim of the voters of Georgia.

    1. The current fate of the US and the planet was determined by the incredible efforts of Stacey Abrams.
What went on before was determined by Katherine Harris and Kellyanne Conway.

  5. The base of the republican party, i.e. the proud boys and the oath keepers and just the basic everyday racist won’t vote for him

    1. Lol proud boys the base of the Republican Party? 74 million voters supported the GOP, there is growing support with the Hispanic citizens and who knows, other minority voting blocks might discover it were the Dems weaponizing race and creating divisions.

    2. i agree with the dude above
both those organizations combined are less than 1 million ppl
do u have any idea wtf ur talking about?

  6. He’ll get elected, he’s the perfect Republican according to the parties’ criteria. They just want people who are batshit crazy.

    1. @Aaron Williams how come no one can prove me wrong. What I said about the state of this country is fact and it’s all Biden’s mess. Not trumps. Things were better, safer and cheaper, way cheaper under trump. That is a fact. Gas has more than doubled in price. Under Biden. That means everything goes up in price and it has. What did think would happen when he shut down the keystone (destroying 30,000 jobs) pipeline and all fracking on public land. What you thought gas was gonna go down. Check out how well Biden’s doing with independent voters. And citizens who make between 28,000 and 50,000 dollars a year. Your so pathetic. All Disasters that were predicted if Biden won are happening right in front of everybody eyes. And saying it’s not happening is only denial.

  7. So, let’s put more people in office who suffer from brain damage. Cause that’s worked out so well in the past.

    1. bashing peoppe who have past mental health issues? disgusting, people like you are what scares people to come out about their mental health problems

    1. Many ages ago a blue lady veiled in black wings banished a naked red man from Heaven. The red man made a place for himself called Hell. In Heaven the blue lady with stars in her eyes is sad and dwells in the hallway where many doors hold many of those who sleep in peace and content. In Hell the red man with the void in his eyes is happy and dwells among bodies where many sleep claustrophobically and uncomfortably. The blue lady said, “People call me Yin and call my brother Yang”.

What has been seen cannot be unseen.

  8. That AP stuff just makes him a perfect candidate. Scared his wife, shady business and lies? He checks all the GOP boxes.

  9. “Turbulent personal history” is a REQUIREMENT for a Republican candidate, he’ll probably breeze through their primary

  10. So instead of people that actually know what to do, they just pick a celebrity, hasn’t that already been proven to be a bad idea

    1. doesnt matter to you anyways you would of complained on wheover had an R next to their name, qualified or not.

  11. He’s never held an office position for anything, just like Trump, Ricky Williams would be better choice😂🙈😎.

  12. Don’t discount the absolute idiocy of Georgia voters especially when paired with our new voter oppression laws 😒

    1. If you’re talking about his past when he was violent then it sounds more like antifa and black lives matter. You know the black and brown shirts of the Nazi Democrat party
