  1. What do you expect from a governor who said “It could have been worse” after yet another mass shooting on his watch? Or refuses to make it as difficult for a teenager to get an AR-15 as it is to get alcohol or cigarettes?

    1. @Steve Stoll I have no problem with an 18 year old in the military handling a weapon. Why? Because he or she is trained in how to safely handle and discharge it. There are yearly tests. You are evaluated and if you are not fit to handle the weapon, you are dealt with. If an 18 year old wants to have an AR-15, join the military. After all, that’s “a well-regulated militia.”

If an 18 year old can make all those “adult” decisions you listed, why not allow them to decide to smoke tobacco or drink alcohol? When you find the answer to that you’ll understand why purchasing a firearm falls into the same category.

    2. @Marty Davis actually you are wrong, a militia by definition is an irregular force made up of citizens.
IE the right of the people, because the people make up that force.

If you want to get technical the militia act of 1903 clearly stated that all males age 17-45 are the militia.

Lastly the AR 15 was never a military weapon, it had been from it’s conception a civilian modern sporting rifle for medium game.

We don’t differ on opinion when it comes to tobacco and alcohol usage by teens.

  2. Been a fan of Beto O’Rourke for a while! He has the listening skills, government red tape knowledge political drive, empathy and genuine care for the people to make a great representative – also he’s a fine US president in the making!

  3. Should be an interesting election. We’ll see if Texan’s have seen through the political games by Abbott, e.g., busing migrants and choose a serious problem solver.

    1. @Mike Flowers i hope you are right other than florida texas has the worst state government in the country i hope beto wins

  5. In any sane country you would take this to court, and in no time at all the perpetrators would be forced to publish extensive rectifications all over the place.

    1. @John Watt You know, you and I actually have more in common than either of us know. I now appreciate your comments. You have revealed yourself to be a fellow skeptic of most/all things, philosophical, and not afraid to apply old lessons and ways of the past to modern day scenario and issues in order to see a bigger picture. I Thank you for this. 🙃

    2. @Leftist Annihilator How can I return the favor and make you feel as good as you have made me feel? Being of Scottish ancestry has benefits, one of them having a strong sense of personal worth. The other is Scots history, northern islanders who crossed the Atlantic when Europeans thought the earth was flat. I might not be as noble as you make me feel. I do a lot, but most of the time I’m looking forward to a free meal and some pop. Everyone should be skeptical. We live in a world that was already at war and covered with technological use ahead of us. We’re not slaves or serfs, we’re end users. You can see I use You Tube for my own entertainment, as much as trying to be informative, trying not to get into the insults. Can I be informative? When Dr. James Watt attained electricity, he changed the word “weir” when he invented “wire”. We are the weir’d and the wire’d.

    3. @Leftist Annihilator “There once was a girl, whose heart was a frown, because she was crippled for life and couldn’t make a sound. Until one day she decided to die. She took her wheelchair to the edge of the shore, and to her legs she smiled, you won’t hurt me no more. But suddenly, a sight she had never seen before made her jump up and say, look, a golden winged ship is coming my way, and it didn’t even have to stop, it just kept on going, and so castles made of sand slip into the sea… eventually… ”
Jimi Hendrix, third verse, “Castles Made of Sand”.

  6. Now this should be illegal, I don’t care which candidate or party does it. Purposely mis-leading the public is not free speech. We need ethics in politics.

    1. @Barbara Ann Zuckerberg was on his show doofus. I can see being pragmatic cause you pain and discomfort. I bet you still stand at least 6 feet from people at the store.

  7. I started donating to Beto since Uvalde. He has a big heart. He might not be perfect, but he will do the right thing. I really hope he wins.

    1. @Moses Torres Stripping half of the population of their rights does NOT equal disregard for those in a womb. It’s amazing how you can hear something, dispose of the actual words that are spoken, and make up your own ideas as to what was said. You must have super-powers, Moses.

    2. “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” Matthew 5:38-39

“Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar’s. And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.” Luke 20:24-25

    3. The ex-anarchist hacker who wrote down his fantasies about mowing down kids and who can’t stop being inflammatory in his statements and way of interacting with others?

    4. @An Acc You have one truth in your statement: “ex-hacker”. How did you make this other stuff up? If it’s not made up, when can I learn more about the things you allege?

    1. @trumpist Just like Past President Trump, I could report you for hate speech and misinformation, commonly called lies, but I won’t. I’ll let you flame out by yourself. Light one up.

  8. That would be defamation of character if you cut up audio and clip together to insinuate that someone said something that they never did.

  9. Way to get a push for truth in electoral advertising laws, with penalties for misrepresentation of opponents’ actual speech.

  10. I’m actually surprised that anyone is surprised by this. Their ‘Dear Leader’ has made a living from being dishonest to the core. Why not his acolytes?

  11. Beto needs to run with this in his ads.
Deceiving ads should go to court
Taking his words and cutting them to deceive is against the law
    TAKE HIM TO COURT

    1. Same thing is happening to Herschel walker in the same state cnn is located in by warnock but you don’t see a story on that!

    2. @Mr Breeze The most damaging thing the Warnock campaign has said about Herschel Walker is that he is incompetent. That might sound mean until you actually hear Walker speak about the issues, then calling him incompetent seems overly polite.

    1. I’m sure the blame will just be put on whoever “created” the add, because even though Abbott approved it, he’ll probably just wash his hands and say he didn’t know.

  12. How can this brilliant man operate or even SPEAK normally when you’re surrounded with armed stupidity?
Thank U, Beto. At Your Service 💯💯
