I recently relocated to Australia and learned about the Stolen Generation. Yet, in this day and age, the then government of America thought it was ok to take children away from their parents. History will remember these leaders for these shocking policies ….. no children should be taken from the safety, love and care of their parents in this way. My opinion.

This has been national and international law since the Nuremberg Trials for war criminals. *Every person is the arbiter of whether or not an order they receive is lawful or not on moral and ethical grounds.* I would hope that my conscience helped give me the strength to tell a commander or POTUS the same thing, “I will not obey an illegal order.” If it was within my power, I would set free anyone and their family who were lawfully seeking asylum. I am a father and what was done to innocent children will, correctly, be a dark stain on America’s standing among the nations of the world. This cannot be swept under the rug. The only constitutional remedy to remove a dangerous traitorous POTUS has proven remarkably useless. The US would be incapable of stopping a Hitler and that concerns all nations. I cannot find anything in the “memo” that is legally persuasive in terms of placing anyone above the law. For it to have merit, the Constitution would have made this expressly clear but impeachment makes the opposite true. No valid legal system worth the name would permit a class of citizens to be immune from the law. Laws apply equally or not at all. If they fear that a rogue DEM president might have to face justice, then they are no better than the GOPQ-NAZIS rigging future elections to avoid free and fair elections.
