If I understand correctly, the federal government just gave millions of masks etc. (which had to have been paid for with taxpayer dollars) to the private sector who will now sell them to the highest bidding state or possibly foreign government. Meanwhile, tRump is upset that the governors aren’t thanking him enough.

With the largest military apparatus in the world at hand, they could manage the supply of these goods much more efficiently and economically than the private sector whose manpower resources are already depleted due to the current crisis.
