Dear Ms Michell and Admiral Giroir, Thank you Ms Michell for your excellent reporting and interviews. Thank you Admiral Giroir for being straightforward, factual and to the point. I live in Europe and the news we are getting from the UK is frightening. The virus is cannonballing across the country infecting more and more people: it is said to be 55% more contageous. What we are witnessing is out of our ability to comprehend something that spreads so quickly. The new strain of virus is in our country, so I guess it’s a matter of time before we will be seeing infection rates go off-the-charts as well. The thing we all have to come to terms with is that we have been hit by a contageous virus that is not letting up and there has to be some cool heads calling the shots from now on until we get through it. Good luck for you in America: the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter as the Trump Administration fades into the background. We have to stand together.

Herd immunity doesn’t cause mutation. Mutation occurs, but to say it’s because of herd immunity is just plain nonsense. That’s like saying that when the rooster crows, the sun comes up, so the rooster makes the sun rise.
