@Henry lhd2 the Air Canada employees were all vaxxed. AC laid them off when there was lack of pandemic demand instead of furlowing them with gov’t provided funds, instead giving AC senior execs massive bonuses. The issue is AC mismanagement of Human Resource Management. It will need to pay more and care more to regain and retain its new work staff. A legacy of cost cutting at worker and client expense

Normally Air Canada is a steady airline. I flew often AC from Europe to Canada. They have a wonderful business class.
We have in Germany and Europe the same situation as in Canada. Lufthansa, Air France, Swiss cancel thousands of flights every week. We are not in the situation before Covid!
Traveling in this days makes not fun!
Canadians pay more on phone plans, airline tickets and banking fees for worse services due to oligopolies. Canadian government likes to help out shareholders of these big companies.
Baffles me why anyone would take Air Canada 🇨🇦.. I stopped years ago.

It seems that a lot of commenters assume that Air Canada is is government-run airline. This is not the case. It is fully privatized and trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The performance is a disgrace, but it has nothing to do with the government. Just a company that needs a management shake-up…
