    1. @okallup liberals cultists have no brains at all… they don’t even understand that borrowed money needs to be repaid.

    2. @Nuatski The Alberta PCs put in a plethora of different taxes for Alberta. The UCP have increased certain taxes that the Alberta PCs put in, and the UCP have put in hefty taxes of their own.

    3. @Brad Lyons They miss the fact that the only sensible Conservative premier in Alberta was Peter Lougheed. The rest of the Conservative premiers and governments in Alberta, wasted and lost exponential amounts of money on the most costliest debacles repeatedly, never saved money, never built things up, neglected essential services and infrastructure in Alberta, and never planned for the future, when oil prices would go in the gutter.

    1. @44004sasha I am Albertan, and I’ll take the 4 years of stability and marginal growth with Notely over Kenney’s attempt to turn this province into the current hellscape it is any time.

    1. @Anmoldeep Bhullar go bankrupt for health care, or bankrupt for paying astronomical taxes to cover a debt to pay over paid workers…….

    2. @Not Entirely Apathetic Cool, we’ll just privatize them and pay more to contractors while they pocket livable wages from temporary workers they bring in.
Totally sounds like a great idea!

  1. Kenney was elected on a promise to punish BC for complaining about a pipeline, but instead he is tearing Alberta apart and punishing the Alberta taxpayer. Ain’t karma a wonderful thing? It will be Kenney’s conservatives who bring a provincial sales tax to Alberta. Keep voting conservative….it’s worked out so well for you.

  2. tthe ucp govt have twisted notion that there going to be able to use there ” we reduced the debt the NDP created even though it was originally ucp debt from when rolled over in the pre pre-election

  3. Just wait till the bill for this “Pandemic” comes in, guess who’s gonna pay for it? Workers and taxpayers.

    1. @Pffftt Pffftt mortality rates of covid in Canada are near 5 percent. Try again. And can we PLEASE stop pretending its a fun picnic for the other 95%??

    2. @Pffftt Pffftt How blessed you must be in your isolation echo chamber. May others be as lucky as you are.

    1. Because he hates them?
Seriously, Kenney only believes in passing tax cuts for oil companies. Everyone else, UCP considers ‘useless eaters’.

    2. @Not Entirely Apathetic who’s going to do those jobs ?Oh ya farm it out to the private sector, we know how that works out. Nothing like minimum wage job creation.

    3. Dwayne Wladyka sorry but you are mistaken. Laundry, cafeteria and janitorial is being privatized saving the tax payer $60M per year while still proving the same level of service.

    1. @Dustin Tobler There is already a shortage of professional nurses Canada wide, you may not mind a waitress or dishwasher providing your nursing care but trust me the vast majority of Canadians want professional nursing!!! Having survived three near death experiences this year I can assure you Canada has the best healthcare in the world!!! I wouldn’t want to get sick in alberta right now!!!

    2. If you’re in a union you get paid for picketing! So if this is organized by the union they are still paid

  4. Who announces healthcare cutbacks in the middle of a deadly pandemic??? An ultra right wing PO💩 that’s who!!!

    1. Who thinks money grows on trees and no skill workers deserve government pensions? NDP and Liberals.

    2. @Not Entirely Apathetic healthcare professionals are not qualified enough for their pay check? I think you have oil workers mistaken for healthcare professionals that spend easily 8 years in school to be qualified enough for their job!

    3. @Matteo Pereira Does healthcare professional include laundry catering and custodians? I highly doubt anyone went to school for eight years to lean to mop or fold sheets. These are where the cuts are being made. This reporting is misleading by omission, and deliberately so. Doctors and Nurses are keeping their jobs.

  5. Let me see if I got this right, the government tries to slash spending by cutting jobs in the healthcare AFTER the pandemic is over (you know, debt needs to be repaid)…the healthcare workers are so concerned about saving peoples lives (esp. during the pandemic) that they walk off the job…… few see anything wrong with the unions actions yet most condemn the government for doing it’s job, cutting spending. Got it, irony alert !
