My 90 year-old grandad was beaten to death by a stranger in the middle of the night. We know exactly how you feel. I’m so sorry for what your dad was put through. It’s just beyond words and beyond painful.

I can’t even imagine how this lady would be feeling after what happened to her elderly father. I looked after my 90 year old mother directly for two years of the pandemic and kept her safe. If something like this had happened to her I would have just fallen apart.

I so appreciate this interview. I hear her so clearly. Alexandra is dropping some truth bombs. I’m sure the toll on the families of those in positions of power can be enormous but I’m particularly interested in her now perspective as she will be among those who have privilege and money and power. It is what it is and I appreciate the coverage of it. These are national AND very personal traumas; it’s hard stuff for the soul! 💞

Your mom is a legend, and the horror today does not erase those years of accomplishments. Really hope we get back to civility. There was a level of grace and respect in information and now it is hate, lies, and goons on social media. I hope you and Maria Ressa have at least met at this point, there are a lot of parallels of her work and your father’s violent attack.
