Alfredo sauce in short supply across Canadian stores

Some shoppers say it's been hard to track down jars of Alfredo sauce at grocery stores nationwide. CTV's Carmen Wong has the details.

  1. I saw a demo at Costco that would do in a pinch. Take your freshly cooked pasta and add either butter or olive oil and some grated Parmesan cheese. Stir, serve and enjoy! I like to add a little garlic and onion powder, sometimes some cream cheese too, Now I prefer this to Kraft dinner.

    Extend your alfredo: When I make my lunch for work, I make two. I cook one frozen single fettuccine alfredo entree and split it between two glass lock top containers. I add cooked frozen veggies, cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, precooked bacon crumbles, onion powder, pepper and a couple of teaspoons of cream cheese. I put plastic wrap under the lid so it stays clean. Then I can sit the dish on the inverted lid in the microwave so the dish isn’t too hot to handle. : )

  2. I thought this was satire. Nope. I just watched news about Alfredo sauce shortages. All hope is gone…..
