    1. @Eric Rosario can you give me a link to your source on the wage increase being a guatanteed positive. Im not denying it and am interested.I know where I live the minimum wage is 16$ in canada and the local news is talking about how restaurants have had to cut employees because the cost of living is to high and they cant find employees who want to deive from the suburbs. A lot of restaurant owners have had to take on the role of employees and work the kitchen food line. The price of a meal in my city is very expensive. A standard mcdonalds big mac meal now costs $10.99. While a typical restaurant meal is $20-25$. Im open to Yang but I am skeptical in how putting a freeze on pricing would help. Wouldnt that reduce competition and force companies to go overseas? China already has a growing market and is making fast progress. Same as many other countries in the world. Companies would be open to moving their headquarters and operations there at a faster rate. Lowes and rona here in Canada even stated in their memo that they are closing dozens of stores here due to increased wage costs and operaring costs from 2 months from now.

    2. @Dave Santos Our customer base is too huge and we have too much money to spend. That’s the point! šŸ‘šŸ˜‚ The top companies actually make more money because we buy more. You understand how the recirculation of money works? It gives American Citizens and Companies more money and less money is wasted in the hands of politicians. It’s handed directly to the American public. We can advance our society, eliminate homelessness, and drastically lower crime. You go to jail you lose your $1000 a month. You’re literally being paid to stay OUT of jail! This is a great idea!

  1. What a classy way to answer the “do you think it was fair?” question. Class Act President Yang. That is what a true leader and visionary does.

    1. Harris would say:ā€No. They donā€™t like black people and women. ā€œā€˜
Buttigieg would say:ā€they donā€™t like my sexual orientation. ā€œ

  2. I really like that he plugged his opponentā€™s topics in regards to how substantial issues were in the debates. At about the 4:30 mark – Instead of plugging his own ideas he shouts out his competition and thatā€™s a sign of respect as well as confidence in his own campaign stance. Thatā€™s class šŸ™ #Yang2020

    1. Yang gets the least voice but calls for justice for others. Heā€™s always first to defend the unjustly bullied. Like Tulsi and Steyer. Thatā€™s just him. As you said, ā€œCLASS.ā€ Letā€™s go YangGang!!! Yang got the Worst questions-gave the Best answers. šŸ‘

    1. @yusuf bych Yep. If you want something for nothing and keep asking for my country to do something for me and NEVER the converse you got that right…

    2. @karin backstrom And yet Russia keeps Germany warm in winter. And probably everything East of Bonn.
Thank god the greens in Germany can keep rationalizing using French nuclear power just over the border.
If Russia is sooooo bad why does Germany do business.
Russias democracy is evolving. After 1000 years of tyrany they would have disintegrated after the end of the Soviet.
The best the world could do is truly support Russia and help end the slow virus that tells everyone that Russia is going to invade Europe.

  3. Slowly and surely Yang is getting more attention from the MSM remember the race between the hare and the tortoise Yang 2020 #MATH and MAGA Make America Greatfull Again #resist

    1. @Zachary Fluke One policy that doesn’t get talked about as much is “democracy dollars.” He is proposing a grant like system that gives $100 to each voting age American specifically for use in backing your favorite candidates. It could completely wipe out lobbying. There’s also the VAT tax which makes it almost impossible for large corporations to evade taxes. Another favorite of mine is the “American Scorecard” that shifts the focus from GDP to things humans value like childhood success rates, life expectancy, mental health, environment, etc. There’s over 160 policy proposals on his website

    2. Shaina Boover Look, I believe Yang has good intentions, and good ideas. But Yang doesnā€™t have the movement in place to transform the system that gave us money in politics in the first place.
More than anything, I hope Yang stays in politics for a long time to come, because I think he has a very bright future. And I hope that the winner of the nomination and the general brings Yang on as a cabinet member. I think Yang would benefit greatly from some experience in the White House before actually being elected to live there lol. We definitely need to get money out of politics. Democracy dollars is a great start. But no amount of money can stack up to the super PACs and corporate dark money. We need to overturn Citizens United, so in addition to democracy dollars giving people a bigger voice in the primaries, millionaires and billionaires canā€™t funnel infinite amounts of money into buying candidates.

Bernie Sanders has 40 years of fighting for this exact thing, and I know Yang would be welcomed in the Sanders administration. No doubt about that. Right now, we have to grapple with what we want from our candidate, and how they actually plan to get things done. In order to defeat Donald Trump, you need a real populist movement thatā€™s funded by real people. Bernie is the only candidate with over a million small donors, and over 4 million donations. Iā€™m proud to have been 10 of those so far. He has the most volunteers of any candidate, and more in every state than the other democrats combined. That is how we beat Donald Trump, and by using our mass movement of people, we will pressure and rally around any politicians who try to stop our healthcare bills from passing, along with our climate bills, our equal rights bills, our gun safety bills, etc etc.

Bernie Sanders has my wholehearted support, and has built a movement that transcends race, gender, background, religion, and everything else. We stand together because we embrace all of our differences and believe they are to be celebrated, not shamed.

    3. @Zachary Fluke Respect. I appreciate the work Bernie’s been doing. I think his supporters and Yang’s have much in common

    4. Shaina Boover Much respect āœŠ. Remember, we all have much more in common than we do differences. And you can be sure that if Yang won Iowa, and Yang won the next 2 or 3 out of 4 states, he might have a good shot. And if he wins, heā€™ll get my vote. No question about that.

    5. The problem is almost no one is watching these democratic debates. Only 6.5 million viewers tuned in, and its been dropping since the first one. With the republicans it kept inceasing and hit 22 million viewers. Thats a worrying sign. When Obama was running people were tuning in more and more as the debates went on like in Trumps situation.

  4. No matter what the situation Andrew Yang has kept an even keel being professional and focus and just letting his natural charm make light of the bad and disadvantage situations that they actually are.

    1. @Tom Jones There will be far more people working 3 jobs to make ends meet that get a much needed boost from the FD than lazy people. Think of the small homebased businesses that people would start based on the foundation of a guaranteed income. And if people want to live on $1K a month and no more, why do you have a problem with that? There have always been people who couldn’t or didn’t want to work, you can’t change human nature. It’s better than having someone ‘working’ at a job they hate and doing it badly, especially if that would impact your life in some way. We’ve seen what a lazy person does when they win the Presidency and it’s not pretty.

  5. Thank You CNN for posting this so quickly and for giving the best candidate some press time he deserves!!! #YangGang yang2020.com

    1. GOOD IM GLAD HE DOES . THE MORE YALL DEMOCRATS HAVE MIXED VOTES; NONE OF YALL WILL HAVE THE POPULAR VOTE BECOUSE EVEN WARREN SUPPORTERS WONT VOTE FOR YANG AND VISE VERSA . TRUMP SUPPORTERS ARE STICKING TO THE GOOD LIFE WE GOT WHEN HE GOT INTO OFFICE MINUS THE HATE FROM THE LEFTIES . OTHER THAN THAT WE ALL FEEL GOOD ABOUT HOW HE’S WORKING FOR US AND NOT ILLEGAL ALIENS WHO JUMP THE BORDER AND PURPOSELY HAVE THEIR KID HERTE FOR BULLSHIT PAPERS . FOH ! COME IN THE RIGHT WAY CRIMINAL .

    1. Eric Larsen I voted Trump and also support Trump for 2020
But if a democrat was to win Iā€™d hope it was yang or tulsi!

    2. C. Reck there is nobody else by Trump.
There is no point in burning synapses about any potential democratic candidates.
I hope itā€™s Biden who is nominated.

  6. Yang is so clearly the best choice America has ever had. He’s a genius, empathetic, logical, rational, and he throw’s in comedy too. Vote Yang in the primaries and he will for certain beat Trump.

    1. @FLAG BANDIT”ONLY PEOPLE WATCHING CNN ARE RIGHT WINGERS WHO LIKE TO HEAR THE OTHER SIDE THEN GIVE THEIR VIEWS AND DEMOCRATS WHO ARE GOING TO BE VOTING FOR THEM”. False dichotomy. You sir are a cognitively deficient.

  7. Citizens have a responsibility to protect their own democracy. If America loses its democracy, it loses everything.

    1. @MEE6 Yes, posturing and pontificating, but offering few real solutions. This guy acknowledges problems, great, then promises $1000 with no real plans further than asking everyone to move to the high ground. lol What? I don’t need 160+ pages to tell this guy just wants to be Pres. No offense. I think UBI is a good idea. You know a higher priority, though? Medicare For All. Yang wants to skate on Bernie’s back, but then, he’s really not planning on fighting for anything. I doubt this guy can get a public option on the table. Try treating cancer with $1000 bucks, friend.

    2. @Patrick Sulley and Yang also said that the USA meddled with other elections, toošŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

    3. @Glad Komrad Yang’s Medicare for All (not trademarked) is gonna be close to Canada’s or Australia’s version (Universal public and private healthcare option). Yang will implement this while keeping private healthcare insurance alive.

    4. @Patrick Sulley Though I agree with a minority of Trump’s policies, Yang is the complete polar opposite and is the best overall candidate. Yang is 1M times more honest than Trump.

    5. @Arjel Dela PeƱa Fair enough. I just think your candidate would be better off reconsidering those options. It’s gonna be single-payer or nothing, and that’s the reality. If you’re even able to get a public option, which may be every bit as difficult as going all the way, the private insurance companies will simply push off all the sick and elderly onto the public plan, going to war with it all the same.

  8. Next ‘debate’ Yang should put up a sign with yang2020.com and leave, it’s a scandal how he’s been treated.

    1. You should watch Trevor Noah’s video on Andrew Yang. The end part recommending what Yang should do at the next debate is hilarious

  9. As long as Yang keeps speaking logically, rationally and not telling people what they want to hear he will never be the Democratic nominee.
