U.N. humanitarian Angelina Jolie visited with refugees and volunteer workers in Lviv during a surprise trip to Ukraine.

During her visit, Jolie hastily exited a train station "as air-raid sirens went off" in the city, according to video tweeted by Bulgarian journalist Christo Grozev, an investigative journalist for Bellingcat, and by Reuters.
According to Lviv regional governor Maksym Kozytskyy, Jolie – who has been a UNHCR special envoy for refugees since 2011 – had come to speak with displaced people who have found refuge in Lviv, including children undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the missile strike on the Kramatorsk railway station in early April.
