I think the FDA and CDC are between a rock and a hard place. Stay at the table and hope you can get through to him, even just a tiny bit. Or watch him cut their funding, or dismantle them altogether. It’s important to remember that they don’t exist solely to deal with Covid. They are crucial to the health of Americans in so many other problems. Lose them altogether and it won’t just be Covid there’s no scientific evidence and treatment for. He’s making their position untenable. He has to go!

This is so awing to me. Is COVID-19 a real virus? The potus said no a few times. Is COVID a threat to US citizens? The potus said, it’s no worse than the flu, yet gets tested constantly and anyone around him. The potus said it would go away by Easter, or with the heat, meanwhile it’s September. Some say the numbers are inflated, some say it’s a “plandemic,” some say the vaccine is a hoax. A vaccine that is made readily available without proper clinical trials………hmmmmm. Are these the same vaccines that Russia is issuing to their citizens?

@Diane Hooper – The Trump/Qanon loonies aren’t going to take any vaccine, or so they claim. People who still have a sense of self-preservation sure won’t take anything rushed into production to appease Trump. That still leaves millions who aren’t paying much attention and will get it because they don’t realize there are any issues. I really think Trump will make his big announcement and then nothing will happen until after a vaccine’s been tested. Even then, considering how Trump’s corrupted the CDC and FDA, it’s as likely to be useless or dangerous as not. The best idea is to wait until Canada’s vaccinated all their people with something that can be trusted and they’ve opened the border. Then go across, pay out of pocket,and line up to get a real vaccine. That won’t be practical for a lot of people, of course.
Until the current regime’s been removed and things have been put back in some sort of working order, nothing the federal government says or does can be trusted.
