    1. This is not a new issue at all. I’ve lived my whole life around military, both family and general interactions, and this has been going on for a looooooong time.

    2. @Paul Drusbasky As someone who comes from a military family and has been an Army wife, this is not a liberal conspiracy, this is our military. It’s not the majority, but it’s a very well-rooted presence.

    1. @I believe in science social media need I say more. Racists are proud of it they love to advertise their hatred on social media and if you follow all the Karen’s they’ll lead you back to their Klan

    2. @Angael Tartar Rose you know what else fits on GQP better than the suit they wear??? 8 U.S. Code § 2385 – Advocating overthrow of Government.Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government; or

Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to do so; or

Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof—

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.

If two or more persons conspire to commit any offense named in this section, each shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.

As used in this section, the terms “organizes” and “organize”, with respect to any society, group, or assembly of persons, include the recruiting of new members, the forming of new units, and the regrouping or expansion of existing clubs, classes, and other units of such society, group, or assembly of persons.

      (June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 808; July 24, 1956, ch. 678, § 2, 70 Stat. 623; Pub. L. 87–486, June 19, 1962, 76 Stat. 103; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(1)(N), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2148.)

    1. Or have family that are Police. I’ve got a branch of real “winners” on my family tree, and they’re 3 generations deep as Police

    2. @Eric Klaus My husband was in the Army for three years, less than a decade ago. During that time we witnessed multiple enlisted using a litany of racial slurs against fellow soldiers who found it deeply offensive. One incident in particular that stands out in my mind was aimed at a white male soldier who had mixed-race children, and ended with that soldier in tears. This happened *in front of officers who thought it was funny and did nothing* . When it was reported to higher-ups, everybody involved said nothing had happened, they didn’t know what the person reporting was talking about, etc. Also during that time, I knew a soldier who had printed off that NRA hit list and kept it with them so they could memorize the names on it “in case they ever got a chance to do their duty.” This is not some liberal conspiracy theory, this is a real problem that people have been trying to raise the alarm on for quite some time now.

    1. As someone who comes from a military family and has been a military wife, I can tell you that while Trump boosted this, it is something that far predates Trump even being a reality tv star.

  1. “I would love to live in an oppressive regime, because then it would finally justify my dangerous and neurotic belief that I’m under siege, and I’m being oppressed. I would finally be the victim that I pretend to be today.”

    — Every TrumpCultist/White5uprem@cist in America.

  2. A “sliver” of white supremacy = an entire forest amount of it, with deep roots that have been in the ranks for decades, if not centuries. The armed forces have always been fertile soil for this type of mentality, from early accepted segregation and overt racism, to the “Abu Ghraib” atrocities and other racist crimes committed in the military. There’s a lifetime of work and re-education to accomplish, if it ever can be achieved.

    1. Well the fact that abu grrahb was exposed shows that its not the majority by far but its a cultural issue in the USA. Fix your broken education system. Sorry from Australia

    2. @Bohdan Harasymiw The atrocity was exposed, rather than immediately reported or even prevented. It’s not just the educational system, it’s the socialization to that mentality that needs to be completely eliminated.

  3. Well, about time! Been building since the failure of the Civil War to actually create an equal society. Military bases named for insurrectionists!! Insanity!

  4. We are all humans, stop being stupid. We are all 🩸 and bones. Hoping all are blessed. So sad for all that have lost loved ones

  5. I retire nearly 8 years ago and we were looking for tattoos that showed an affiliation with certain groups. This is nothing new. By the way it is not a sliver.

  6. Not just the military. White supremacists and right-wing extremists have infiltrated police forces all over the US.
