AR-15s Are Weapons Of War – Here’s The Proof | The Beat With Ari Melber | MSNBC

In the wake of a mass shooting in Colorado, former president Barack Obama called for action against gun violence, slamming “cowardly politicians” for opposing firearm restrictions. The shooting in Colorado is yet another mass shooting perpetuated with the use of an AR-15. In fact, about 25 percent of the past 80 mass shootings have involved AR-15s. In this special report, MSNBC’s Ari Melber walks through the history and development of the deadly weapon, and details Biden’s efforts to ban it from civilian use for good. This is an excerpt from a longer special report. (This interview is from MSNBC’s “The Beat with Ari Melber, a news show covering politics, law and culture airing nightly at 6pm ET on MSNBC. ). 1. All of these men
Ted Cruz Rick Perry Donald Trump Mitch McConnell Newt Gingrich Ronald Reagan remind me of
da da da da the Batman in every episode he would fight the same men who Commit crimes and never go away Until the people got used to seeing the villain; these days it almost seems normal that we are never able to remove them

    2. @Ken Albertsen Have you ever eaten bacon cooked on the barrel of a rifle, it’s like eating freedom. Where else can you go and wrap bacon on the barrel of a rifle, shoot cook it and have a snack no where. That is freedom, that is your second amendment right and your freedom to do what you want. Why would you want to take that right away to shoot cook bacon.

    1. What? Gun oil is not edible, well technically lt is, but it’s not good tasting and there’s no nutritional value. Basically, ted Cruz is ruining a bunch of pork bellies and wasting ingredients. I bet he has stock in pork bellies and hog futures. So he buys a bunch of it, driving prices up and increasing his stock portfolio, putting money in his pocket. But then he declares the loss due to waste overage and takes a huge tax credit, putting more money in his pocket. Plus the kickbacks from his “bacon business”, the pork people, and the unions. Money, money, money and more money from this terrible idea.

    1. @Au Robinson Nobody believes you. We’re all laughing at your devotion to a failed cult, led by the biggest failure the world has ever known. Dumb SOB lost a billion dollars over ten years.

    2. @Rich Sackett If Trump offered his cult ” cyanide-laced ” Koolaide after collecting their checks they would all ask for refills.

  1. Sequence of events
    1. Shooting happens
    2. “See why do civilians have guns!” along with thoughts and prayers
    3. Interviews by the leftwing media offering condolences to grief stricken families & communities
    4. Interviews by the right wing media saying how it isnt the gun, but the person.
    5. “Youre infriging on our 2nd amendment right”
    6. A few weeks of debate on guns
    7. Some bill about gun control TRIES to pass the senate (like that is ever happening…)
    8. Everyone forgets about the shooting
    9. Repeat

    1. @String Bean but that would have to mean stopping the government too. A terrorist by definition creates terror, and US politicians have done a lot of that, as have UK ones.

    2. @Selouskimo I meant that voting is also a right, since you said that owning guns is a right. I was commenting that many (I’m not saying you specifically think so) seem to think that it’s more important that gun rights aren’t infringed upon than that the right to vote isn’t infringed upon (which Republican politicians tries to do whenever they get a chance, especially for minority groups).

    1. Agreed. Even the gun community hates the NRA. They waste money, they really aren’t gun advocates, and they rub shoulders with politicians like it’s a massage parlor. And not the legal kind.

  2. If seeing deadly weapons with effigies of “My Little Pony” and “Hello Kitty” doesn’t scream “NOT NORMAL” to you, then you must be living in an alternative world and have lost all sense of discernment.

  3. I remember years ago going out to Idaho to visit a friend that I grew up with on the east coast and meeting him at a very tiny dinner in a very small town 3 hrs north of Boise, and when I walked in right away I saw hand guns on the counter and on people, so being a gun owner and being an outdoors person and being curious I asked do you really need to be strapped to have eggs over? and this is what I was told, ‘ do you know that Obama is trying to take your guns away 🤔and I busted out laughing and said do you think president Obama is interested in coming out here in jerkwater Idaho to kick in the dinner doors and say give me your guns, don’t know if I made any kind of point but this is the way (sad to say) some people think thx Tommy

  4. Yep they are weapons of war and I’ll be keeping mine. I’ll also be having BBQs without White House permission.

  5. Ted Cruz looks like he should be trying 1920s damsels to a rail way line whilst twisting his moustache and ending every sentence with the sound “nyaaah”

  6. Ehh…. the lethality is the same because it’s a gun with the same caliber but the difference is the military is automatic and ours are SEMI automatic. It’s definitely a difference 🤷🏽‍♂️

  7. AR15 can’t live without it, you need it all the time, going to the Mall, to School, and at a birthdayparty, to keep the toddlers in line..

DearAmerica, the World is laughing at you priorities..
you are 4 % of the worlds population, but own 42 % of all private weapons ….
you must be the most affraid nation on the planet ..

  8. When you treat a gun like a toy, it doesn’t make you look tough…it makes you look like a child.
