Karen Shaub … I agree with virtually everything you say. But, like it or not… it isn’t treason. Legally, according to the Constitution, treason can ONLY exist if a war is actually declared against the country in question. We are not in a ‘declared war’ against China. Nor Russia, nor the Ukraine. This is all a callous and vicious betrayal by Trump, and it’s illegal and impeachable. And HOPEFULLY the Senate Republicans will step up like patriots and convict him. But don’t get tangled up in all the yelling about treason and hanging. Those avenues aren’t possible… hollering for those are a waste of valuable time and it invalidates the importance of what you are saying. Holler for the Senate to ‘convict and remove him. Call the U.S.Capitol and have them connect you to your Senators’ offices (202) 226-8000 and ask for the staff assistant handling this issue.

Longwinded answers to questions other than what were asked has been a strategy from many a politician and it works… for a while. Eventually, if the issue is serious enough, they will be pressed to give an actual answer and this has both flummoxed and brought down more intelligent and politically experienced people than trump.
