As Oklahoma Struggles With Coronavirus, Trump Rally Didn't Help | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC

    1. Joy Phillips Republicans are being bought by Russia. That’s why Putin chose now to control his country until 2036

  1. He is intentionally increasing cases so that he can postpone the election indefinitely. Even when election is held, Republicans are banking on the possibility that voter turnout will be small due to the fear of virus. That’s why they are so much against mail-in ballots.

  2. Remember the news about a contract that people needed to sign in order to participate in the rally? This is so that Trump can avoid getting the blame for this.

    1. @Brenda Cooper if YOU ask me….THEY SHOULD ALL FEEL CONSEQUENCES- THEY Didn’t care for ANYONE SO BE IT – the good thing will be …LESS TRUMPETS RACIST WALKING ON EARTH ,and chance for people to GET-TOGETHER

    2. @AD 1 I did read it. She said the rally attendees hadn’t signed the waiver. But they did electronically when they clicked “Accept.”

And, yeah, that can be legally binding. I personally have done it on contracts I’ve received via email, like, for instance, my car insurance.

But again, I don’t know if Trump’s waiver would stand up in court. As for the rest, just like the attendees chose to attend the rally, they also chose to sit on top of each other, and the infected workers didn’t know they were positive until afterwards.

I’m not excusing Trump. I think that rally–and the one in Arizona– was reprehensible. Perhaps she is right and that any who get sick can sue them six ways from Sunday and win. If they do, I’ll be cheering them on.

    3. “The reason why this is the first day I registered to vote is that I was scared. I was told that if I voted on Trump, my music career would be over. I was threatened into being in one party. I was threatened as a celebrity into being in one party. I was threatened as a Black man into the Democratic party. And that’s what the Democrats are doing, emotionally, to my people. Threatening them to the point where this white man can tell a Black man if you don’t vote for me, you’re not Black.” – Kanye West.

    4. @Jeweled Bird That may or may not be binding, but the Trump campaign admits the risk by requiring it, then they removed the stickers placed by the venue to socially distance. The fact that two of the campaign workers tested positive right after the rally makes it likely they infected at least some of the people there, you are contageous before you show symptoms.
Anyone who contracted Covid from someone who was at the rally has a pretty good case against the Trump campaign, and in my non legal opinion, since they broke the rules they should be held accountable. No one can sign away another person’s right to be safe from totally irresponsible actions no matter whose idea it was.

  3. It becomes harder to be sympathetic for those who willingly and purposely ignore the common sense health protocols around COVID-19. They do so literally to make a political statement of stupidity and violence. Then they choose to pass the virus on to the more vulnerable in their communities.

    1. @BILLY What a load of crap…. perhaps you are buying into the lie given by democrats but for YEARS it was democrats who hated diversity, etc… This is just another angle they are using…. Most Jim Crow laws were started by Democrats…

    2. @Joy Phillips 👄By democrats who switched ideologies because of civil rights legislation being passed and who are today’s rethug party!!!

    3. “The reason why this is the first day I registered to vote is that I was scared. I was told that if I voted on Trump, my music career would be over. I was threatened into being in one party. 4. The Handsome Supreme Lord Emperor Donald J. Trump

Yeah but Kanye is a joke and Biden is absolutely crushing poor Puppet, Comrade.

      🤣🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  4. I guess it’s a good thing that only 6,200 people showed up, instead of the 1,000,000 the t’rump campaign thought were going to be there. 🤔😛😝

    1. @Utha Shut up Biden can’t put together 2 coherent sentences! No matter what you say people will notice that when Biden has to debate Trump!

    2. Dementia Joe Fingers – guys, STOP replying to dementia joe. It is an OBVIOUS misinformation troll just trying to stoke anger. Likely works for maga 2020 or foreign digital campaign. Fake account. STOP talking to him.

    1. it’s so insane …. i can’t actually fathom how the gop is just watching him do any of this ….. actually i can

    2. Guilherme Rodrigues nah …. the rallies are exactly what the virus likes …. the protests were outdoors and i saw hundreds of masks …. get s clue …. and ps that doesn’t make it to have a rally does it ? or open schools does it ? but ok keep gaslighting yourself ….

    3. What did you say when Cuomo & DeBlasio didn’t shut down NYC schools right away & over 1,000 kids got the virus? Bet nothing. The rate of kids getting the virus these days is very low.

  5. Mail in your ballot as early as possible.. the republicans are going to cheat on voting day. Vote EARLY 🙏🌏💗

    1. @Joy Phillips As far as confirmed election rigging, I’ve only heard of one confirmed case. Guess the party. Hint: it wasn’t the Democrats.

    2. “The reason why this is the first day I registered to vote is that I was scared. I was told that if I voted on Trump, my music career would be over. I was threatened into being in one party. 3. @The Handsome Supreme Lord Emperor Donald J. Trump really, you’re quoting the philosopher that is kanye west. He can vote whomever he wants. I lost respect 4 him long b4 I knew his political affiliation anyway. He used to be one of my favourite rappers. Then he started losing his mind. He was my favourite artist since college dropout. Now I could care less what he’s doing.

  6. This is insane and a clear example of how bad US contact tracing is. In NZ we only had a few unidentified infection sources. That the US doesn’t know exactly the source and who was in proximity is insane to anyone from any other country.

    1. Your Prime Minister is competent – something the Republican’s root out among their members.

    2. “The reason why this is the first day I registered to vote is that I was scared. I was told that if I voted on Trump, my music career would be over. I was threatened into being in one party. 3. You should have heard the screaming about using tracers. These idiots are their own worst enemies. So stupid, ignorant and selfish!
Consequently there is a shortage of tracers. This virus is going to be around for a long time in this country. The rest of the world will have it under control and here they will still be dying in thousands.

    4. For scale out Health minister was demoted immediately for leaving his house during lockdown, and after reopening we had 16 cases, 2 of which breached quarantine, travelled down the country, contacted 322 people or locations over 3 days (all were traced and isolated same day) all of these locations were front page.

He blamed our version of Dr Fauci, Sir Ashley Blomfield, and was sacked on the spot for letting 16 cases into the country.

No one died, only a couple of people actually got infected and isolated.

Oh, and also, the leader of the opposition was rolled by the party partly for being sloppy with his own travel. (drove to the capital when Zoom could have done).

I think that our PM is very charismatic, a great people leader and inspiration and pursuader, but her faith in the whole science team was massive. We did what they suggested.

    1. trump just lost his tax hiding case in the Supreme Court. Now the SDNY can begin prosecuting trump in January for election cheating.

Thank goodness for Cyrus Vance Jr.

    2. @The Handsome Supreme Lord Emperor Donald J. Trump Well, the Supreme Court just ruled against trump’s tax hiding. The Manhattan prosecutor, Vance can now go ahead with charges against trump for election cheating in January/February.

the wheels are coming off trump’s BS. He’s losing to Biden and the law is catching up.

    3. @Fred Freddy what does Trump’s private life have to do with saving his country from you idiots?

    4. @Fred Freddy The Yearly Influenza Virus which affects 3 million Americans yearly has been hijacked under the Covid19 Hoax. Insiders say the President knows but doesn’t want to confuse Americans who are living under fear. Democrats are pushing it thru the November elections.

    5. @Tony Johnson You are full of trumpian propaganda. It’s probably Stockholm Syndrome since before trump everyone but a small minority of nutters knew the authority for infectious disease is the CDC. It is the world’s best organization for infectious disease info and response.
trump is trying to cut its head off and replace with a lacky who will push his political BS. He pulled the US out of the World Health Organization because reality is upsetting to him.

Don’t join trump’s death cult. Covid deaths since January are at 133,000.

  7. this was completely predictable…. the Infector in chief doesn’t care for your health or lives. vote him out in November.

    1. @CatPower the fact you throw that bit about ‘fux news’ at the end is a good indication of which echo chamber you’re in.

    2. @J T G I know where I am.
Do you know where you are.
      I know where you are.
      In between lost and found.
You’re always lost and never found.
Because fux’s news has your head round and round and brainwashed.
      What a dumpass lol.

  8. Too much death and destruction is “never enough” for the “most dangerous man on Earth.” Just ask his niece, Mary L Trump.

  9. When I thought about a Russian biological warfare against America, I didn’t imagine it would take the form of a orange Russian agent, with sleeper cell identifiable with red baseball caps.

    1. Red hats and refusing to wear masks. I told my kids, at least you can now easily identify the crazy and corrupted. It’s better than the old white hoods! (Sigh)

    2. Lol 4 years you’ve been looking for evidence and whatchya got? Big fat zero that’s what. You guys have no idea how mad the silent majority are. Trump is gona steam roll this one, despite all the democrats’ cheating. They have all social media on board as their PR wing and they are still going to lose, and I’ll have my popcorn ready for a repeat x10 of 2016.
      “Nooooooooooooooooooooo” 😂

  10. Sadly, we are no even close to the death toll that will be required for Republican voters to take this seriously and take the actions needed to start controlling the pandemic. Be safe everybody, it’s gonna be a long ride.

    1. if enough Republican voters contacted their Republicans Congressmen about this, the whole situation would flip on a “dime”, because they money and power the Republican Congressmen get from their office are dependant upon people voting for them.

    2. @VidWatcher1X The primary Republican message for the last couple decades has been that science is the enemy and if you listen to it you will lose your rights and your job. How do you make that message jibe with doing anything to control this pandemic? One way, panic. Once we have republicans running in the streets in pure gibbering terror they will be ready to listen.

    1. @yumekojabamiXD Their only function these days is to stir up division and hate. All the deaths we’ve seen as a result of BLM riots… the media are to blame. Putting insane bias spin onto every single story. It’s pretty sickening. And before you call me a drumftard or whatever, I’m not even American, I don’t have a dog in the fight… I can tell you looking in from outside, both sides do it. The people are being played like pawns.

  11. Maddows: We have a President who causes out breaks.

Me: Trump created Covid-19 by defunding CDC in 2818.

    1. Yes. Trump leads a 5th Column within America.
Trump is the enemy within. He sides with the enemy within against America. He even rallies them to his side.

    2. Unfortunately… we have enemies as well.
      .
It gets worse: they’re also Trumps friends.

    3. Why do you think the talibans or Al-Qaida members won’t bother to attack the USA anymore ? Because Trump did their work with more efficiency !!
