    1. She doesn’t need the lotto she’s been on trial these past 2 weeks accused of contributing to steal US$ +?1000+ millions by illegalyl granting of bids for public road contruction to her associates.

  1. Wow, she is absolutely a very lucky person!!
How could security allowed that to happen? Where was secueity!
    Wow!!!

    1. @Minuette you’re clearly a person from a “developed” country. Bad things happen to you if you don’t take care and protect yourself. At least on the “non-developed” countries. We lock our houses at night, we have a gun or an alarm system here (if we can aford those, of course). We fear to show our cellphones on the street, an iPhone 13 Pro Max here is almost a year saving money for most people, so If you have that cellphone, well, you’re probably going to get robbed. It can happen anywhere, even my city, which is a good one and looks “good” it’s dangerous. Even on the “safest” of places you might get robbed and punched/kicked to death. I hope you’re asking that question from a moral standpoint, if so, my answer stays more or less the same, bad things happen, ask Shinzo Abe, he was the prime minister of japan, the most safe country on earth and he got shot and died.

    1. now that you say that, it’s possible that she may have gotten the idea from that, since she might face charges for 12 year in prison

  2. Frightening to watch. The world needs to tone down on the rhetoric or politics will become a dangerous career choice.

    1. @Justin Thiel It is the time to tone it down because that populist and extremist rhetoric is not toning it down.

    1. @Mary Ellen Griffey When you see these report them. I always do. Either unwanted commercial content or, at least as advertised in this case, porn.

    1. What is security going to do for her in a disarmed country? All they look for is people who might possibly have a knife. This guy didn’t even need to get that close to her at all to carry out this attempt.

    1. @SN SN 1.) What exactly would the motive be for “staging” something like this and 2.) What evidence would you need to be convinced that this was authentic? Do people like you use any critical thinking skills whatsoever? That was a very clear assassination attempt.

  3. Emmediately, footage captured of the attempt on Regan’s life was the first horroring parallel thought I had when watching this.

  4. This happened to me in 1987 when I was 16 years old. I was waiting at a bus stop in front of my high school when a blue VW bug drove past me three times. On the third pass a man sitting in the back seat stuck his head and arm out and pointed a gun at my face. His arm was long enough to have the gun within inches of my face. He pulled the trigger but the gun jammed. The only reason I can think of why they did this is because they mistook me for someone else. There was no one around me if that gun had went off there would have been no witnesses or anyone to offer me help, I am very lucky.

I had the same reaction as her. I was frozen for a second and then life goes on. It’s a surreal feeling.

Other than a greater appreciation of life. The only thing that changed in me is that I am more aware of my surroundings. Like when I see a car driving slowly or passing by more than once. I ready myself for something that might happen.

    1. @Edward Marrufo Anything is possible but when it happened to me I had almost the same reaction as her. I just stood there in disbelief and moved on like nothing happened.

    2. She didn’t see the gun until it was jammed and pulled back. She would realize moments later what exactly happened though.

    3. @K I actually cannot remember if there was a passenger but since he popped out of the back seat on the passenger side there was definitely a driver. The vibe I felt was not prank but more like, oh no the gun misfire let’s get out of here. This was in the 80s we didn’t do much pranks but I can’t say it wasn’t a prank but if it was it was terrible.

    1. Teddy Roosevelt got shot and continued his speech

This is part of why he was one of the greatest who ever lived

  5. What type of person will waste their time and endangered their well-being without getting paid to protect a corrupt official

  6. Just for those who might be wondering everybody in Argentina think this was staged.
    1. The vicepresident face a trial for corruption.
    2. The president indirectly treated the prosecutor. He remind him of another prosecutor that somehow commited suicide the day before he was to testify in the senate against this woman.
    3. The city police was there, ther was a perimeter. It was removed by the national goverment.
    3. The personal security moved away to facilitate the moment.
    4. Now they are acussing the opposition on instigate violence.

    1. Pictured by Lang here: incredibly lame attempt at garnering sympathy by claiming he resides in the same country where this event took place.

No proof. No witness statements. No pointing to specific events to support his claim. No defense whatsoever other than just “trust me bro!” 🤦‍♂

‘Member that association I made a couple comments above to 1984 & Fahrenheit?

in Erik Estrada’s voice from that Cool Cat Saves The Kids scene: Theeeere he is!

    2. @Gabriel Rangel Yep, always consider things carefully. My point is that for many people it is hard to believe anything from the goverment because the way they always try to manipulate situations. Even in this case they quicly move to accuse the opposition and declare a hollyday to show support to the videpresident. This being so convenient has lead many to think it is staged. Whatever happened it is confusing. It doesn’t help that this is not the first time things are like this, the Nisman case is very famous. It doesn’t help that this president was one of the most fierce critics of the vicepresident and then suddenly forgot all he had said before and now they are goverment. Maybe this time the wolf actually came, but they have spent all the credit they have long time ago. Anyway, all the best.

    3. Che es evidente que en este hilo de respuestas somos todos argentinos.

Por qué seguimos hablando en inglés? Tienen miedo de que Cafiero esté vigilando las secciones de comentarios o algo así?

  7. I can tell it was her second warning, her first was when she caught “cancer” about 5-7 years back. That gun was likely a prop gun and it was old looking. Or else it would have fired. No matter how dirty or sticky it would fire since the hammer clicked. More than likely it was a setup, her last warning. Security and higher ups were in on it.
