Never lose sight of the FACT that Trump is in office because the Democrats LOST TO HIM! @Richard Owens Democrats aren’t as weak as they are stupid. Republicans are evil and know how to sway public opinion. Democrats usually mean well but lack solid leadership. Republicans ALWAYS have money for the wealthy in mind for every decision they make. I am a Progressive for all of those reasons.
@Joe Shaloom I, too, am a Progressive. What you don’t seem to understand about the Democrats that I do is the fact that they’re merely the flip side of the same crusty old corporate-owned coin as the GOP. Both parties are funded by the SAME wealthy people and corporations – because, that way, no matter who wins the elections, they still own the government! The Democrats are what is known as “controlled opposition.” Rather than being “stupid,” as you characterize them, they are masters at pretending to be on the side of their constituency, while they, somehow, never manage to accomplish their stated goals. For example, while the Democrats have held the House, they have passed literally hundreds of pieces of legislation that most Americans would love to see enacted into law. But, while the Democrats were passing those bills, they KNEW that they would never be brought to the floor for a vote in the Senate. And, when the Democrats regain control over the Senate and the White House, while retaining the House, ALL of those pieces of legislation currently collecting dust on McConnell’s desk will be quietly swept into the trash can, in favor of pro-corporate legislation that will EASILY pass in the House AND the Senate AND get Biden’s signature! You mark my words, virtually NOTHING good will come out of a Biden Presidency, except that Trump won’t be there. The Trump/GOP tax cuts will not be touched – because, the Democratic party donors LOVE them as much as the GOP donors LOVE them.
Then, in four years, look for the GOP to put up another fascist dictator to run against the Democrats – and, the Democrats will LOSE to him, like they lost to Trump. We the people are being PLAYED by both parties!

– National Mask mandate and strategy for slowing the spread of COVID-19
– National plan AND FUNDING for keeping Schools safe during a Pandemic AND/OR a nationally-funded strategy for online education improvements so people can stay safe during the time of a pandemic (this one or a future one)
– Re-appropriating funds from sectors that receive too much to sectors that could receive more (for example, Military spending cut and re-appropriating to healthcare, Police funding distributed for community officer positions, etc)
– Restored International relations
This is the short list of things, because these are matters that I will be voting based on. And of course I’m voting Blue for the Senate because the GoP Senate failed us during a national crisis (no recurring funds for the people, instead big businesses get bailouts and tax-cuts, and they refused to follow through with a proper Impeachment trial on Trump on the basis that he’ll improve on his behavior, yet here we are).
There’s other things that I want that are more likely to occur with Democratic leadership versus Republican leadership (for example, removal of Electorate voting, Mail-in voting available in every state, better relief-fund packages that better benefit the people during a crisis, no more trickle-down economic strategies that always fail, etc)
Vote Blue across the ballot. Biden 2020!
