Bash: Cruz looking for Fox News sound bite at Garland hearing

CNN's Elie Honig and Dana Bash point out Sen. Ted Cruz's (R-TX) line of questioning to attorney general nominee Merrick Garland about the partisanship of the Justice Department noticeably didn't include the Trump administration and Cruz's own role in the discourse.

  1. Did Rafael Cruz (R-Cancun) just forget about the last 4 years entirely? Send this guy back across the border.

    1. @Michael French … so why does the US Constitution direct that a US President be “a natural born citizen of the US” ?

    2. @Annette youtube, he IS a natural born U.S. citizen, he was born to o U.S. citizen that happened to be out of the country. It is the same as children born to U.S. service members stationed over seas, they are U.S. citizens.

    3. @Annette youtube, and what that means is someone such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is a naturalized but not a natural born citizen, cannot run for President.

    1. What about cuomo?? Sorry I have to comment on a Ted Cruz video cuz I can’t find any videos on cumou from an unbiased media like CNN

    1. It’s funny. Aoc just raised 4-5 million in his state while he was vacationing in Mexico. Obviously a poc.

    2. @Shirley Heinbockel Ted Cruz has zero integrity. He fled to Cancun to ditch Texas and Texans and leave them to their cold desperate lives.

      Boooootlicker.

    3. @William H Music 2021 LOL… All the Q cultists have to support their arguments is a childish jump-scare video. Y’know, that actually makes a lot of sense. Trying to reason with a Trump cultist is like reasoning with a rabid dog. Better to just put it down. (Hey, YouTube, I’m being metaphorical here!!!!!)

    1. @Grant Anderson Continually attempting to rewrite historically factual truism into your personal prejudices won’t work. Despite perpetually repeating crass inaccurate contributions, what is true is unaffected. I’m at a loss to digest your ongoing idiosyncrasy, just why you just can’t come to terms with what is true. Being unable to change your mind is a downhill slide into insanity. I’m well into my 70’s, a retired professor of economics, educated at Cambridge university in the UK, Professor Emeritus at Massachusetts Institute of Technology so i have a lifetime of educational study. Although my principle academic province is economics, I’ve also a PHD in physics and applied mathematics. Again I’m happy to point you in a direction to enable you to discover for yourself what is true and if you really are a ‘seeker after the truth’ you would surely welcome any assistance. My intentions are cordial, friendly and hopefully enlightening.

    2. My thoughts exactly! He’s got a lot of nerve to talk about integrity. I can’t stand him. He’s a disgrace.

    3. @Grant Anderson The U.S. just flushed four years of an attempted fascist state down the toilet. The child who led it still cries in the corner while his followers priject his treachery at others. It’s sad to hear so many hateful, anti-American losers still mad like they were during that regime. The world rejoiced when we votes those opinions into history. Our fascists will be remembered for the record 215 criminal indictments even with AGs ignoring many administration crimes) and his 2004 bankruptcy for over a billion dollars. The biggest financial loser in our history but hey, at least he was really number one somewhere

    1. @Naturally JT it was a bad PR move simple as that what’s he gunna do shovel snow? As politician he’s a dumbass for not seeing how bad it looks that he bailed , but nothing near as bad as Cuomo’s horrible policy decisions

    2. @M Santangelo blaming renewables when texas gets most of their power from oil and gas. Meanwhile in much colder climates, renewable energy has no problem working. Texas’ powergrid isnt connected to other states cause they wanted to act tough and independent, but now they look silly, especially since they knew this was coming and had failed to prepare since their last snow storm years ago.

    3. @Nick Baltzell We’ll never achieve that with the media on the left’s side.

The solution is to hit them in the pockets. We’ve already stopped $53 million towards a certain left leaning popular group. Talk to their sponsors. And tell them you won’t do business with them.

That’s what it all comes down to is money. We are in the midst of cancelling a 1.2 B dollar sponsor and are directing it to a more appropriate source such as green energy. We already guaranteed 1.0 B to green energy.

Better allocation of sources and more relevant.

    4. @Jose I live in the northeast where we get pummeled with all sorts of crazy weather (hurricanes, deep freezes, blizzards). Never in my 38 years of life have I ever been through what Texans are going through. It’s a failure to the citizens and a disappointment. Even though it was a once in a lifetime storm, there’s no excuse.

We have sent out reliable NJ linemen to help assist our brothers.

  2. DT literally used Barr as his personal attorney. So Cruz thinks by skipping the last administration and focusing on Obama, we would forget?
Damn, his jet lag must be REALLY bad 😒

  3. He’s talking about the T**** term. At least he’s using it as sounding board. He’s such a loathsome person.

    1. @Kermit I agree..I don’t trust any politician it’s them against the people in my opinion..they never do what they say they’re going to do and if they do it’s not to the full extent of what they freakin promised

    2. @rockytoronto It’s picking the right politicians, that’s the key. Politicians and a government are necessary to keep society together.
People like Bernie Sanders, AOC, and Andrew Yang amongst others set themselves apart from Corporate Democrats and Republicans/Conservatives.

  4. Lying Ted Cruz. He’s so comfortable lying that he’ll fail a lie detector test when he chooses to tell the truth.

  5. Bravo to Judge Garland maintaining his professional demeanor listening to Cruz’s political and hypocritical drivel!

  6. He should have answered:
“I promise you i will be at least as bipartisan as my predecessor from the last administration. Does that satisfy your demand?”

    1. Even Merrick is pretending to care about what that PATHETIC, unkempt man has to say, you can see it in his eyes

    1. I thought I was the only one wondering why he actually came back. I mean AOC and Beto O Rourke took care of everything. Just disappointed he returned 🥺
