@hbgriss It is the first time there is audio recording of Trump trying to influence state officials. The recordings there has been prior has either been with him on the phone with the Ukranian president, or recordings made by Michael Cohen. Even though many of us have suspected this type of virtual arm-twisting metodes, this is the first time there is actual proof of Trump having done so. Had this been known before the impeachment, I think he would have had to resign. He still may. If only to make sure Pence will pardon him. So if Pence was part of a delegation to the WH, to tell Trump that if he resigned Pence would pardon him, if he didn’t any pardon he issued to himself were not likely to recognized by any court, I think even someone like Trump would see the writing on the wall. But I doubt anything will happen until the Georgia election is closed for ballots. After that I predict a political eartquake in Washington. To spear the GOP the embarrassment, I believe Trump will have to concede, so the 6th January cirkus can be cancelled, and Biden confirmed as the next president. If Trump doesn’t Pence can threaten not to pardon him. We’lljust have to wait a few days and see.
