  1. Republicans: “This is not the time or place” . The problem is that with mass shooting becoming almost a daily event, there would never be a “Time or place” to discuss them.

  2. I’m surprised nobody is mentioning the cop on that panel who said “I deer hunt in this city” Very inappropriate at that moment. Very unprofessional.

    1. @howard atkinson wether we are killing people or hunting animals that’s not been use for food tells me something is really sick and twisted about most of these people. It sounds to me like they enjoy the thrill of the kill. I would hope the TBI look into his record and make sure he’s not killing people out there for the thrill of it.

    2. @howard atkinson exactly. And so many farms. He sounds as though he’s talking about hunting people to me.

    3. Just looking at the men, and ONLY men on that stage, reminds me that I will NEVER live in Texas.

  3. This hurts deep in the soul, knowing you living in a world of fear, my heart breaks for the children , the teachers who were in line to keep this innocent children save, and sadly lost their lives too, when till when we have to live in fear in society? My prayers and condolences for the parents and vicitm of this sad tragic news… may god bring lightnes into their heart of their healing process that will take an eternity of recovery.

    1. All Americans will hv to live with this,.nothing will change! Pls read my comment, as I hv PREDICTED the future of America and the world, in my 15,550 pages of handwritten REVELATION for the NEXT100YEARS story of this EARTH. It will be so!

  4. That whole stage is more concerned about grandstanding than doing right by their constituents.

    1. @skully_the_pepper Uhh the suspect is dead.

What do you want them to do exactly in 1 day? Do you think investigations involve a google search and done?

    2. So you would rather them not be on stage? I bet you would be yelling out how heartless abott is for not making a speech..smh

  5. Why did Gov Abbott even have the news conference?
He could have just tweeted ” thoughts and prayers and be assured that nothing is going to change”
I am certain he needed to get ready for his speech at the NRA convention anyway

    1. @John B Not too sure about that, I’m sure there’s a part about a well-regulated militia?

    2. @skully_the_pepper “I ask who are the militia? They consist now of the whole people, except a few public officers.”
      – George Mason, Address to the Virginia Ratifying Convention, June 4, 1788

    3. @skully_the_pepper “Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined…. The great object is that every man be armed. Everyone who is able might have a gun.”
      – Patrick Henry, Speech to the Virginia Ratifying Convention, June 5, 1778

  6. “How dare Youmake it a political issue”…I would have said what the hell are you people up there doing right now? We’re tired of condolence speeches and they need to be called out and challenged

    1. Why dont schools have control access, security , scanners at the doors ? You courthouse does, your city hall does, the capitol does, where you work does ? How that for a challenge , Michael ?

  7. Everyone is expressing their frustrations and heartbreak in different ways. This is how Beto chose to deal with the situation. I’m not mad, either. He’s right.

    1. @horseygurl143″the whole USA is shook up, except for conservatives”. OK then…lol. tell me again how you are not using this tragedy for your own political gain.

  8. Independent who leans to the right and i have to say the one out line here was that mayor. He spoke with hate and really escalated a situation that didn t need to be. RIP to all those innocent victims. This hit very close to home. We live 1 hour away.

    1. @TexasRav Rourke is doing what the rest of the nation needs to do. Get the POS GOP to finally do something for this country.

    2. @ELFanatic Beto is the voice of We the people. He’s not the governor yet. But he is a parent and citizen and he spoke out for the grieving parents. The time and place is in the heat of the moment. Thoughts and prayers are too little too late.

  9. There’s will never be a “time and place” for these people. They expect you to shut up and sit down while sending thoughts and prayers up until more blood is spilled.

    1. Everybody please go donate $1000 to Beto’s campaign fund if you feel inspired by this video. If you don’t then your just as accountable as them ultra maga people!

    2. @Neal Kelly Getting emotional about children who were slaughtered is human but claiming to care about unborn babies while not showing any type of emotion about children who were slaughtered
      That’s inhumane

  10. The Governor’s been working all day on his “We’re so sorry for the families” speech and now Beto has stepped in and called him out for the lack of prior action!
Oops, that wasn’t supposed to happen, especially on National TV!

  11. Those disgusting fools on that stage have no place in any position of power. Their behavior is beyond shameful.

  12. We have these problems because we choose to have them. Thoughts and prayers do nothing. Making the right choices does everything.

  13. The social economic class of those families and that of those that have suffered from these events aren’t high enough for change. Such a sad reality.

  14. That mayor is a disgrace. That entourage standing up their in all their comfort and arrogance is SHAMEFUL.

  15. “Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble.” U. S. Rep John Lewis
