  1. I didn’t get a check but I’m sure they used my 2019 tax return. I’ll have to file it and see what happens.

    1. Yes, but my problem is making sure my records reflect all my income from Unemployment as I don’t want to file a false return. I made $93k in 2019, but with half of that in Unemployment insurance in 2020, and with that will come taxes upon those benefits to be paid yet. They will still use my 2019 gross income to determine my status for this relief. I’m well under that income level for 2020.

    2. @Hankakah I’m not sure what you mean so let’s recap. 1. The stimulus payments you received in 2020 are not taxable 2. Unemployment income is reportable and it comes to you on a 1099-G 3. To qualify for the current payment, your AGI has to be under $75,000. 4. You should have all your tax documents by now to file your 2020 tax return unless you have K-1’s or brokerage statements that have been extended. I hope this helps.

    3. @dskwared2u I wasn’t given my unemployment checks till January, which was backtracked from the original PUEC from October. So my checks have been behind, and since they were not given as checks and were direct deposited, I’m not sure the exact totals that I was given gross. As the checks were in lump sums. There were months that were given the extra $300 bonus, so would really like to see a total report of benefits for 2020. Are those $300 bonus taxed or not?

    4. @Hankakah The unemployment checks you received in 2021 are not reportable as income in 2020, even if they were for 2020. States are required by law to provide you a document(2020 1099-G) that shows the taxable portion of your benefits in 2020. If you don’t have that document, you should get on your state’s unemployment website for information. You can phone them also. They are always nice but you should phone first thing in the morning or you’ll be on hold for awhile.

    1. You ever get tired of this left vs right non sense? Lol. We got fox viewers complaining about what the left is doing. And we have Msnbc viewers complaining what the right is doing. Cant believe how many sheep are out their. Lol. Its big government is what it is. They need this left vs right war, so the people work for them . Not them work for the people. Your part of the problem

    2. @Nancy Ross NO you get off the Biden bandwagon, only 10% is for covid relief while the other 1.2 trillion dollars is for poorly ran democrat states. You are too blind to understand by having too much hate for Trump.

    3. @Tech ti It is also tiring because of the animosity involved. There has been increasing partisanship, especially in light of 45’s cult. Looking back, l believe it began to be noticed under Reagan and has intensified ever since. One party gets control and passes some legislation, the other party gets control and undoes it. I hope the Republican party thaws out a bit to work with Biden. I do believe he does want unity. Together, the country can move forward with infrastructure repair, improve education, and so many other things. The problem at the border does need attention, bipartisan attention. Kevin McCarthy holding a press conference to deflect from the Covid bill is exactly the WRONG to do. It again is an attempt to draw attention away from progress and highlight division. Stupid and unworthy of a member of Congress.

    4. @Size I don’t hate 45, sorry to disappoint you. I don’t like his policies, but I certainly don’t hate the man. l have never met him, so how could l hate him! The only way a person could hate someone they have never met is by blind prejudice. Is that what is motivating your hatred and your inability to see that education is affected by Covid, travel, socializing, etc. Until Covid is manageable, all these things are affected by Covid. Try opening your mind, you might learn something.

  2. I keep saying to myself; this time around sane people are in charge of making this happen and keeping the programs orderly. I personally know many people for whom this latest legislation is a BIG deal. And all of them have different scenarios. For me as a senior with a low fixed income, the Economic Impact Payment will help me get through a time when retirement accounts are down and extra expenses are real in coping with stay at home and social distancing needs. Making ends meet is effort as the cost of living goes up and Social Security Benefits are relatively flat.

  3. republicans: “The bill had nothing to do with covid relief!!”
The bill: “Except for the $519 billion for states, $422 billion for stimulus checks, $246 for unemployment, and $230 billion for on-going programs.”
    republicans: “Shut up!”

    1. I’ve been saying this for weeks. The more data you give them, the more they keep making the same unfounded claim about “less than 10%” etc. It’s ridiculous. They’ll go around claiming credit and talk about how they delivered for their local communities when they had nothing to do with getting it passed.

    2. @David Bernard Sadly, even then, they will still not believe you. But then again, that’s why it’s a cult at this point.
      Be safe, be well! 🙏

  4. You cannot please everyone but a genuine effort to do the right thing should always be acknowledged… Biden cares about other people and that is a fact… Ever seen this guy guy’s family…??

  5. Some people I know have already gotten their money.

Thank goodness Biden isn’t like Trump, sending checks with his name on them for the sake of his ego.

    1. Infact, he is spending money we don’t have that is still going into the pockets of career politicians.

    2. @Solstice of Snow If you want to talk about draining the treasury, we could start with the 16 trillion dollars that Trump’s lack of action has cost us.

      But you won’t.

    3. @Solstice of Snow Meanwhile, back in reality, during the first Stimulus, Trump removed all oversight from committees so the money would go into the pockets of all his rich “friends”.

Projection is all you Republicans have, isn’t it?

    4. Great, hope it all works out.
The rest of us will keep working, while some wait till the Corona virus passes.

    1. @O Morales distributing vaccines made by scientists. Making sure Americans don’t starve. Not staying on Twitter like a newb 24/7. These important things come to mind.

    2. Really cause all he is doing is undoing what Trump did xD
      Adding racism back to schools.
Banning fracking, so we need to buy from the oil country’s.
Losing allot of jobs and then taking credit for the jobs that got created in republican states xD
And let’s not forget the one of the biggest immigration crisis ever..
And more children than ever before in “holding facility’s”.

To top it off, in this readed press statement: More taxes for everyone YAAAYYY
First thing on the agenda? reworking trade with China YAAAYYY

  6. Rescue plans that don’t include prosecution of those causing our need to be rescued is doomed to failure.
From the archangel Ram full Than

  7. Iam still waiting hasnt hit my account where is it i have gone to irs.gov and they have no information

  8. Today’s Biden press conference was really enlightened and interesting at the same time, he answered all the journalists’ questions with clarity and purpose.
    Good for him.

    C’mon man.😁

  9. So this is where the cows come to graze. Hey cows, do you know that the Covid Relief bill is 2/3 funding for non-Covid issues. Go skim through the bill and the truth shall set you free. Moooo!

  10. Someone need to tell Joe number arnt his thing guess who one thing.the devil in the detail are you sure he’s not in the basement

  11. So how’s everyone’s $1,400? Spend it yet?
Get you out of debt? Billions going to failed cities, those politicians are richer then ever.
