  1. This really ought to be modified to coincide with the cost of living in the area where you live. Podunk, Tennessee needs less than people in New York and LA.

    1. It’s not rational at all, the amount of logistics it takes is time consuming and more expensive. Why do Americans feel so apt to work against they’re own interest? Every Canadian got $2000 a month. Is that a bad thing? I don’t understand why you would advocate for americans getting bailed out. It’s like people just want the most amount of suffering possible.

  2. We are a failing democracy because of 1) the electoral college 2) plurality voting 3) the Senate. I keep telling you.

    1. So ballot harvesting large urban centers to control the whole country? Letting one small group of power mongers control us serfs? Great idea, might as well hurry the implosion along.

    2. @Julian Searcie Add some direct democracy. Important decision should be voted by the sovereign i.e. the people. Politicians should implement what the people decide, not play king for four years.

    3. @Curtis – Think objectively. Is it right or is it wrong. I lean left, however there is other faulty “programming” in our government, like birth right citizenship. But not even conservatives want to approach it, because it’s written in a “sacred” document somewhere. 😂 Edit: It had a purpose, and was right back in the 1800s. Now? Um…not so much.

  3. So all of last year’s income has to cover this year too? How typically ignorant & indifferent of them who get a huge monthly paycheck and have the best medical coverage in the country.

    1. U no, I think all elected ‘officials’ should get minimum wage, medicare &/or medicaid, FS &/or find ways to the food banks…for a period of time-maybe 6 mo? Just so they TRULY experience what WAY TOO MANY OF US DO DAILY?!? I don’t have ‘the’ answer, I find help through the Lord…prayer, peace, & love. Anyone ever see that movie landlord? Thought if dt lived like that he might ‘understand’ – (maybe if he didn’t have any $ to lean on ‘after’ oh, and a tender heart..oh, miracles I guess…

    2. @E Gonz they don;t represent the well off like they normally do . Republicans are pushing this . Biden is appeasing them ..

    3. @louis vicroy Oh, so you dont want any ANY BIPARTISAN? Well FU
You have to be dummy to agree with all the wasteful pork spending.

    1. @Nancy Ross No, notice his horrible grammar. Definitely not a US citizen, just pretending to start infighting aka trollboi.

    2. @Victor R Republicans attacked our United States Capital and disrespected our great American Flag.

    3. @Jason Vegan Are you seriously talking about grammar? Most Americans can’t barely write in the only language they know. Lol! You are funny though.

    4. @SheffRudyTKE Those were Antifa pretending to be patriots. They are paid by Soros and other Reptilians that keep children enslaved in basements, mostly in pizza parlors, for their youth hormones. What do you think keeps Hillary and Bill alive?

  4. I do not think it was a smart move by Biden. Do corporations have caps when they get taken care of?

    1. @William H Your comments mean nothing little missy. If you want to say Biden sucks at least have a reason that is in the realm of reality. Do not worry people can criticize the president now without it being dismissed as being “the radical left” like the little wussy Trump and supporters did the last 4 years

    2. socialism for the corporation…extraction/predatory capitalism for the individual Unless you what,?…stop buying the corporations CEO more mansions with your addictions to shiny plastic from China

    3. @33 None Plastic needs to go but with that said many CEO’s are rich from things like human misery such as pharma CEOs

  5. Dino’s f**ked this up and the repubs will still block it.
What is so wrong with helping the people? Our tax dollars paid for that. It’s not coming out of their pockets.

    1. No there puting it in there pockets that is what there do best your tax dollars go to there pockets.

  6. Is the “phaseout” based on 2019 income records? Because a lot has changed since then, some might have been well off in 2019, and now jobless in 2021 because of the many small businesses closures.

    1. @Eric Wood even worse. I went over by $600 why not do it like the republicans just minus out funds if it goes over. This is ridiculous!

    1. @WARRIOR OF GOD Angry much? So much for being a Christian. Quoting scripture does not make you a Christian, it is living a Christian life that makes you Christian. Jesus was about compassion, empathy, charity, kindness, helping others. Teaching by example! Maybe taking on some of these qualities and traits would make it a bit more believable that you are a godly person. All I hear is anger. Anger is the tool of the devil, NOT GOD, Or Christ.

    2. I have lived in less then that for over decade since my son disability. To some of us 1400 is allot.

    3. @Mister Hat PSALM 2:1-4
1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

    1. I agree; but what is going to happen after the min wage is increased is that companies that are being forced to pay more will increase the cost of their products. They are not going to take the hit or lose any profit due to the increase. I am not saying that people should not get the $15 an hour that is the very min for someone to barely make ends meet. But in the end reality is we all will pay for the increased cost of living and within a short amount of time that $15.00 an hour will no longer be a livable wage.
Instead of increasing the min wage the cost of living should be decreased making it possible for people to live decent with a decent wage. But because we live in a free market and money rules the world this is never going to happen. Even here where cost of living is considered moderate I could not afford to live here at $15 an hour. What I am saying is increasing the min wage is a band aid on the problem which is much larger than the solution.

  7. This bill is important for the American people, not just politically important for Biden. l think the Senate should look at this as important for the people 1st and foremost. If they are willing to sacrifice the needs of the people by putting their politics before the critical needs of their constituents, they should be expelled from the Senate.

  8. Please, pass this bill it’s hard when you don’t have sincere negotiating partners on the other side of the isle. Help the people! Do your best. Thanks, we appreciate your hard work.

    1. Go to your representatives’ websites and email them the type of message that you said here in your comment. Briefly tell about struggles you and others have been having. They need to hear from us and we need to put pressure on them to do the right thing, right now.

    2. What hard work? Their cutting it down and gaining 0 Republican support. Self owned. Who needs enemies w friends like these

    3. @J C Whatever they do Republicans won’t support . Forget about them .Do what is right for the public good, not for fat cats on both sides of the aisle.

    4. @June Webb-Baptiste oh I know. But the dems are back to Obama’s playbook of suckin on the republicans duck for buy in instead of taking care of the American public! $15 shoumld have been done. 2k relief should have been done, 600/ month unemployment should have been done!

  9. LOL, this doesn’t even cover rent on the West Coast for a month. All of this stimulus should’ve went directly back into the pockets of the working class.

  10. Biden you need to ignore peps and pass the Bill we are all sick This HELP. we need it THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS.

  11. I understand there are some individuals that are fiscally conservative, but rn, we need to get ppl Money ASAP. We can worry abt the effects later, but we’re in a really dangerous time
