Nov 23 is not a poll, it’s considered the election, the actual vote itself. This is far more important than a poll! BTW, i think its wrong to say that polls don’t matter. I think they do by setting up a great anticipation and motivation for voters. If the election was one huge blind spot, and you thought maybe your candidate was losing or was not going to get as many votes, you then would make extra sure you got out to vote yes? I would think so. This is why polls matter.
Remember 2016. Check your voter registration . Get to the poll or mail absentee ballot early. Any vote for a third party is a vote for trump.

“You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means.” While gerrymandering IS a problem it doesn’t have much if any effect on the electoral college. Gerrymandering refers to a way of drawing districts in a way that maximizes the representation of one party while minimizing the representation of another, it mostly applies to the House of Representatives and local elections. The electoral college doesn’t care about what party the electors belong to, it only cares about the total number of reps and senators for each state. If every congressman in a state is Republican but the state votes for a democratic presidential candidate, ALL of the states electoral votes go democratic. At least that is how most states work, there are two states where gerrymandering does matter for presidential elections, Maine and Nebraska use a congressional district method to choose who to give electors to, whoever wins the popular vote in each district wins the elector for that district even if they don’t win the whole state. Since the districts are gerrymandered to favor republicans this theoretically gives a republican president an advantage in those two states, however this mostly doesn’t actually matter as neither state has enough electors for gerrymandering to have much effect in the first place. In the 48 years since Maine adopted this law it has never split its vote, and Nebraska only split once, to give Obama one elector in 2008.
