Biden is ‘committed to nominating’ a Black woman for SCOTUS | USA TODAY

White House press secretary Jen Psaki tells reporters that President Biden is committed to bringing diversity to the Supreme Court.

Under Senate rules that GOP lawmakers changed several years ago, a simple majority is all that’s needed to approve a presidential nomination to the country’s highest court.

That means the 50 Democrats could push through Biden’s pick with Vice President Kamala Harris casting the tie-breaking 51st vote, a fact acknowledged by South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham, a member of the Judiciary Committee that will hold hearings on the eventual nominee.

  1. Wait so we don’t care about little things like quality anymore? The only things we see is race and gender and not the content of their character? Sure if they’re the best for the job, but do I trust the judgement of a man thats STILL got Americans in Afghanistan and picked that hackling mess for VP who’s absolutely botched her boarder responsibilities andpaid child actors to act impressed about what she’s talking about…? I mean there’s low, then there is pitiful and this guy’s below even that into just pathetic and shameful.

  2. I remember the days when we didn’t base people off their skin color or gender we based them of their character. Let’s go Brandon

  3. Are we stupid? Or own president is choosing to appease the people when I’m sure there’s a well qualified better candidate who might now be a black woman ☠️…. Like can’t we just choose people to run things because they’re good at it🤔 Like if my heart surgeon who is good and a black woman but there’s a Hispanic Trans Dr who can do it better!!! You better know where I’m going!!
