Most if not all of Michigan’s public universities and waived SAT/ACT requirements for entry, because on line learning can be had cheaper elsewhere – the campus experience and ability to do lab work and other things that cannot be done on line that makes them more valuable. Without those, they are losing students. This is capitalism and marketing over public health and it sickens me. Today I am somewhat ashamed to be an MSU Alum, and I have friends who feel the same way about UM, CMU, Michigan Tech, Eastern and others.

@Live and let live I think it’s like pay it forward. The money I paid to social security and medicaid when I was working for many many long arduous years, was being paid to the folks who were THEN retired.
The money I paid in is long gone, paid to countless strangers who I am glad my deduction was able to help. So the money I get now – is from people who are now working, and the money you will someday get, God willing Trump/Republicans doesn’t have their way, will come from the people working when you are retired.
