You do realize shutdowns are mandated by state governments and not Biden though, right? Here in AZ we have no shutdowns at all. Every business is open.

@T D Uh, wasn’t at all running on “fumes”. GDP growth rate from 2017-2019 was 2.5% on average. The GDP growth rate from 2010-2015 during the recession recovery was 2.3% on average.
In June, then Treasury Sec Mnuchin prevented us from knowing who got PPP loans. I wonder why? 🤔😅😂

@golfdude2007 oh I know, and if people want to shop there so be it I’m not losing sleep over it. I think OP was getting at the fact that Wal-Mart skits many rules to try to get federal aid. I go there occasionally for random things like car fluids, windshield wipers, and other sporting goods just because I hate ordering online or at more expensive places. To each their own.
@T D i like supporting mom and pop businesses even if i have to pay just a lil more…say under $10…..because 1. I can get in and out a lil quicker and 2. I can actually get help buying my items due to the CUSTOMER SERVICE they can provide….ie..shopping at a mom and pop hardware store vs …Home Depot.
@golfdude2007 I’m usually with you, but I don’t really buy much other than food and stuff to fix my car or home. I’m also a mechanic and contractor, so I need to be quick and priced well or I lose profit. To each their own, but I’m with you if I can I’ll go local.

I read the act, and there are plenty of things to cut from that 800+ page document. For instance, most of the aid for reopening schools was already provided in the prior relief packages. Soap, masks, what else? Oh yeah, replace all the HVACs? My school district has not done that in years even though they are in need of repairs. They cannot even keep the kids cool in the summer. So, tell me how you need billions more….ya know that after a teacher has been proven to do harm, it takes a good amount of time just to run through the courts, the tenure agreements, etc. The whole process can take 18 months just to fire a tenured teacher for an indiscretion. So flood schools with money, and we are all confident it will be spent well. For another instance, I was shocked to see that most schools did not even follow their own states recommendations or mandates. How many parents had to supply masks, and sanitizer, and take temps every morning when the schools agreed to do this with the money they extracted….So Joe, answer to these facts…..its a money steal and nothing else. I hear taxpayers will owe 15,000 each on this debt
