    1. The work of educated people is thinking. It’s difficult to account for all the hours spent thinking about how they will solve problems.

    2. @Edward Dungee Clearly you don’t know what is production, Some people lack of common sense of economy and math lol

  1. I have a better bill to propose. Cut every single elected “leaders” pay for the rest of the year until the economy recovers. We all had to make cuts, yet they still taxed me and you the same amount.

    1. From Australia 🇦🇺
The minimum wage in Oz is $19. 85 Australian.
The federal government gave the unemployment benefits $50.00 extra a month because the stimulus package is stopping in the end of March 2021. The stimulus package was paid monthly and started in March 2020.
We have no cases of covid-19 in the community
The federal government also allowed people to take out $ 10,000 out of their work superannuation to pay bills and live.
Stay safe and wear a mask 😷

    2. @Frank Castle I’m just saying maybe it proves that AOC and Kamala Harris weren’t just handed their positions because their minorities. Maybe they just actually the best for the job

  2. Where is he getting his statistics from because from what I understand what I saw on the news the other night just last week another 800,000 people filed for unemployment so how does he get that the economy is coming back?

    1. Nasty Pelosi stimulus is giving only 10% to the people. The rest is going toward a RR and abortion and the arts ETC.Demonrats are making us all poorer while Creepy Joe and his family get richer.

  3. Cost of living has risen since the last increase in the minimum wage while large corporations are reporting large profits yes it’s time to increase the minimum wage

    1. Its gonna get worse with the gig economy. People here in California voted to pass prop 22. And just last month Albertsons just said they are laying off their full-time delivery drivers and going to outsource it to Doordash and hire independent contractors. Not only pay lower but not can excluded benefits as well and no health insurance. Time to leave America its not what is cracked up to be.

    2. Joe Biden’s going to throw us sum chump change meanwhile Energy prices and gas prices triple!!!!! Isn’t that just great!!!!!!!

    3. Large corporations can of course afford it but you’re going to increase a lot of small business labor costs by 50% overnight artificially. Even Bidens own congressional budget office says it will cost 1.4 million jobs from the LEAST among us and these people won’t be hirable at 15$ an hour. They will be sent back into destitute poverty, likely for the remainders of their lives.

I thought democrats hated helping large corporations? That’s exactly what raising the minimum wage does— helps large corporations put small businesses out in the cold. Heartless people you are.

    4. @Donnie One You have zero clue how markets work. Not everyone’s skills are worth 15$ an hour. The budget office says minimum wage hike will put 1.4 million Americans out of a job— permanently. You willing to sacrifice that many more Americans to destitute poverty for the remainders of their lives? How sweet of you.

    5. @Topher D Just increases taxes on corporations and use the tax money to cover 50% of labor cost for small businesses. Either way something has to be done otherwise you gonna see people rolling down the streets with guns ready to storm corporate headquarters. Right now the standard of living in so called Third World countries are looking better than America at this this point.

  4. The minimum wage has everything to do with Covid. The front line workers in the food industry and grocery stores deserve to be paid more than starvation wages. All these people who don’t believe they are intertwined are out of touch with reality.

    1. @AB Mia funny how you think America is SOO great, yet too worthless, useless, and pathetic to do what every other country has already done. So which is it? Is America the greatest country on earth? Ir is it a 3rd world $hithole? Pick a lane buddy. It can’t be both

    1. @Bob Green I have no idea. I much prefer the Democrat’s approach so well summed up in the quote from FDR,
      > “The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much it is whether we provide enough for those who have little.”

    2. 9% of this bill goes to covid relief!!
91% goes to non Covid causes!! Why???
This is all about money laundering for the corrupt politicians!!! Wake up!!
      God I miss Trump!!!!

  5. I highly doubt these guys have even read the bill. They probably have there staff read it for them, then give them a power point going over the cliff notes version of what’s in the bill, with lots of pretty pictures and sone random maps thrown in for good measure.

  6. crazy how when it comes to war, military and defense spending, cutting taxes for the wealthy, and bailing out banks and corporations, the price doesn’t seem to matter to Republicans. but when it comes to helping with Covid or healthcare?! too much!

    1. 9% of this bill goes to covid relief!!
91% goes to non Covid causes!! Why???
This is all about money laundering for the corrupt politicians!!! Wake up!!
      God I miss Trump!!!!

    2. @LeCommunist James So how did a discussion about what is in the covid relief bill turn into the minimum wage bill?

      Deflect much?

    3. @Hawk Daddy Another ahole making BS claims. Let’s see a source for that claim of 91% going to “non Covid causes”.

And don’t bother telling me to look for myself. You made the claim, back it up.

    1. @The Rogue Empire HAHAHAHAHA Far Right? Oh Dear God. That’s why most people laugh at you tards on the left.

  7. How about let’s cut the Senate pay to 7.25 an hour or less?
Since they want to keep us in slave wages, so should they.

  8. Poor people would spend their money in the small businesses, so the small businesses will make a bigger profit and able to pay the New minimum wage. Leave the wages Low and nothing improves.

  9. The people we send to DC seem to get very rich and the average Joe gets poor.Something is very wrong with this picture and they want us to live on 7.25 an hr.

  10. MoscowMitch: “well Im sure everyone would like a check but we need to make sure we dont give the peasants all the money we were planning to take in the 2 trillion dollar bill we will pass for ourselves when we are in power again”

  11. $15 an hour is totally doable I don’t know what they’re talking about here in Canada most people get between 12 $50-$15 an hour as a minimum wage nobody’s going out of business because of it
