  1. How does this help if people don’t have money to spend at small businesses? Our jobs have been taken away!

    1. Richard Forhez the point of putting money directly in your hands is more obvious every day, universally providing a basic income to everyone is 10 times cheaper than being trickled down on (what a joke).

    2. @pmboston Agreed send folks a check and chill out until testing improves.. Then open up everything.. Easy

    1. @Mike Laing Hahaha not interested in your rabbit hole, ew. Stay away from me conspiratard. lol wow.

    2. @Mike Laing I’m simply not interested in anything trumpists have to say anymore, you just don’t get you have less than no credibility anymore. You had no credibility after defending trump’s 20 00 lies now with 90 000+ Americans dead i really don’t think you deserve my attention or time.

    3. muuuuuud It would be 90,001 dead… but I took a private flight from Ca to Ny and back to break out my wife’s family member from one of yours and Cuomo’s NY Nursing home death campsl
15% of ALL Covid deaths GLOBALLY in NYC because of you morons.. nice try, though

    4. Of course Sherri, they’re everywhere, bots have been around for a long time, I pay no attention to them. Hopefully, these two politicians can get something done for small business

    5. Uniquely Lily Those “Russian bots” are everywhere.. Ask Hillary who says she’s even finding them all over the DNC ..

  2. Remember when American national politics was effective and able to get things done to help the people? 🤔
    Yeah, neither do I. Sadly.

    1. Only in monents of tragedies. 9-11 united us, this virus or the Al-Qaeda attack on Pensacola should have united us but Trump is only capable of dividing people with childlike attacks…

    2. @Some Person I remember t’rump saying he’d unite the country once he was president. Still waiting for him to even make a first attempt there.

    3. @Ro G he also said he’d never let Islamic terrorists attack us here, but obviously his wall can’t stop then when we fly them into train on our jets…

    4. @Some Person If we started a list of all the things he said he’d do that never got done, we’d be here until December.

    5. @Ro G true, I try to stick to the crimes he has commited. It’s a long list, but much shorter than his broken promises…

  3. So small business have to pay back the loans but did corporations have to pay back on the last round last month

  4. LMAO. “there were some hiccups with the PPP”

Large businesses left and right took the money because it was essentially free money they knew they could keep so long as they didn’t fire anyone. Well if you didnt need to fire anyone in the first place, you keep that money for payroll and never have to pay it back. There are also zero checks to see if recipients are actually using the funds for payroll…

  5. I hope to see Bennett in the next administration as Sec. of Education. He’d be great at it.

    1. That’s ok with me. Sadly there are senators with Republican governors who would lose their seats to Republicans if you move them to the Execuitive Branch, like Warren, but Bennet has Polis to back him up. Move Diana Degette up to the senior chamber.

    2. I agree with you. He is intelligent, articulate, has class and good sense to head a Department, Education in this case..
Didnt he recently had a cancer scare?

    3. You think he’ll continue with Common Core, where Obama’s Sec of Education ( Arnie Duncan) tried to explain that 2+2 doesn’t always necessarily = 4.. “Because some kids are raised in single family homes, or in a minority community with limited opportunities.. this is about diversity,..etc.. etc.. etc.. “
***You think I’m joking that he didn’t say that? **

  6. ALL THIS “INTRODUCED” IS OBSOLETE
    trump is still president!
If it doesn’t benefit him and his wealthy donors
    HE WILL VETO ANY BILL

    1. Let him say openly he is against helping small businesses, like McConnell is currently saying about citizens out of work. He wants to cut the bonus unemployment ASAP, I guess he only likes giving money to Wall Street. The more Republicans play partisan games the better ads dems will have to run in the fall…

  7. Well done Senators! Losing the political hatchet make’s me very happy. Keep trying for everyone.

  8. It’s interesting that the big businesses get a free hand out, but the small businesses get loans. This is USA socialism at its finest, we wouldn’t want to give a helping hand to the pions.

    1. Socialism for the rich, breadlines for everyone else. It’s basically what authoritarian capitalism is.

  9. Big fish, small fish. old story; until we have a government that sides with the plankton and the small fish, history will be repeated. GOP are barracuda. when smaller they were piranha.

  10. Wow, what a concept, working together for the good of the PEOPLE, brilliant, now it needs a catchy name like…. team work, democracy or something.
