Wow, the indignity of having to be held to account for ones actions. Of course they must protest by declining the task they’ve been assigned (but not the pay).
They should simply be fired with no money.
The Roman Empire once disciplined its legions by a process called decimation where 1 in every 10 legionnaires were beaten to death at random if the legion didn’t do what it was supposed to do. It usually worked as a deterrent because no single soldier wanted to run the 10% chance of execution just because of the poor conduct of others so every legionnaire stepped up in intolerance of the failure of colleagues.
Imagine if we fired, At Random, 1 in every 10 officers in a police unit that has behaved the way units in Buffalo have done. Might it, shall we say inspire the ‘good eggs’ to get the ‘bad eggs’ under control? after all what officer wants to run a 10% chance of loosing their job just because of the other guys failing in their duty?

@Dennis Lawrence Ya, and the last tenant I had was a young black guy and his sister. They did drugs in my house and didn’t pay their rent. When I evicted them there response was “that’s not fare”. The problem is obvious in the black community and it has nothing to do with white people or racism. Every black African I know who has come to the US has had no problem being successful.
