  1. It’s simple, make it that every cop must wear and activate BWCs. If they act out of order fire them and make it impossible for them to ever be a cop again at the very least!

    1. @Pepe – Because a young black man has a criminal history does NOT mean that he should be shot and killed! Isn’t that why they have a Criminal justice system?

    2. @leofearon black, white, asian, doesn’t matter. All criminals should all be off the streets. if you want them, you can have them all.

    3. @Pepe No you did not. You just said criminals like all the racist Pepe’s of the world and by that you meant black.

    4. @Three Monkeys thats why you dont drop out of school. “can we do the same for criminals that wont comply”, that means i am referring to somebody who already has a criminal history. You can’t label somebody a criminal unless they are already one, understand? Unless English grammar is racist.. well maybe it is because its created by a white man.

  2. To those saying he didn’t get hurt because he was compliant, so was Philando Castile. He had no warrants, was polite and completely cooperative, and still never made it home.

    1. @SMS2884 not being asked too? The fact that you do not know the difference between “to” and “too” says it all

    2. @Charles L Jones he did not say “I’m not” lol jesus bro don’t lie, it’s still on YouTube. “I fact checked it” means you didn’t watch the video, the media kept leaving out his words, but it’s in the video, stay educated

    3. @SMS2884 you can if the thc isn’t detected. Many people with permits aren’t stopped for thc if they aren’t acting irrationally. Do you realize how many people are stopped with thc in their systems . If they smoked it hours ago and there still a minute amount in their systems it isn’t relevant ….you do realize even with alcohol there are levels that comply with legal limits……don’t you ….I’m an ex cop …..and you have no idea what you’re talking about ……dummy

    4. @Επαμεινωνδας Κοσμας Wrong wrong wrong , he told him that he had gun, he told him he had CCW and he told him to take out the permit and then he’s shot when the cop see’s the gun.

  3. Yep it happened to coworker name Marcel Stevens he is male the police went all out with being apprehended took him through processing allegedly bounce checks fraudulent purchases he was caused anguish as he had ailing father waiting on him at home At the end of the day folks he was told umgh we got wrong Marcel Stevens cuz individual is female oopsie OMG his dad could’ve had heart attack due to mental anguish that was effed up

    1. But the good news is the dad did not die and the son made it home alive. Whenever you start walking on water we can all expect the police to do the same.

    2. @Michael Laughery This experience will break anyone spirit and trust in the cops. The wound was made.

    3. @Michael Laughery Walking on water? Can you tell the difference between a female and male or does it take you hours to do that like the cops?

  4. This just goes to show that people subconsciously react differently just because the color of your skin case closed, end of story!

    1. Only a racist person would see it that way. I see it as an officer approaching a situation that could turn ugly. I was onced pulled over because a car just like mine was used in a robbery and was checked out just in case, it was the color of my car not my skin.

    2. @Michael Laughery your experience doesn’t diminish someone else’s experience. Just because it didn’t happen to you doesn’t mean everyone shares that same experience. Police are human, flawed people just like you and me which means they don’t all act the same and which also means some of those flawed humans act according to what they believe about a certain race. There’s no problem calling that out. Stop tryna invalidate others lived experience

  5. I’ve only been pulled over twice, both times I was speeding at night with friends, both times the cops acted totally respectful. Never raised their voices or made any threats or movements towards weapons, and gave us time to find papers despite being alone themselves. This is Canada though, mounties have like 3 years of training.

    1. @WalknTalknStevnHawkn no, he was just giving you an example of what it’s like to live in a civilized country. I guess he hurt your feeling.

    2. @WalknTalknStevnHawkn Go figure, a typical American hypocrite with no self awareness that America is the only country which regularly doesnt mind its own business. To the point it has military in most countries and fleets on every ocean.

    3. @WalknTalknStevnHawkn So people outside the US cant have an opinion or talk about their experiences or how things are in other countries ? Are you that ignorant and arrogant to think the US is perfect or that it has nothing to learn from others ? I guarantee you have opinions and have said things about places other than the US . The US and Americans sure have no problem sticking their nose where it doesnt belong .

    1. If she walks calmly up to him that’s on her but they did say the guy they were looking for was a felon with a warrant

    2. Look I’m a white man married to a Mexican woman and I have a mixed son with her I also have mixed black nieces and nephews I love everybody and I do believe this violence with the police it’s getting out of hand

    3. @Don Nwzad The fact that you think its sad for a grown man to cry is so toxic. Do you really hate yourself that much that you’d stoop to forcing other men to not have emotions? I sincerely hope that no human is dumb enough to date you.

    4. She only pulled it bcuz he was black period, can you imagine how that feels? He didn’t do nothing

  6. As a white woman my experience has been similar. The officers are patient, sympathetic, courteous. I am never made to feel threatened. Being pulled over is never a pleasant interaction but it’s done professionally and expediently. This should be the universal experience regardless of race/gender.

    1. @Caucasian Lies Matter I’m glad to see you were so bothered by my comments that you copied my name and decided to start following me around. Nothing lets me know I really got to somebody like when they mimic me and follow me…😉

    1. @Don Nwzad Why do I need to be compliant, when a gun is drawn on me? The police are to serve me, I’m paying them. Police to afraid to do their jobs should move on.

  7. My 18 year old son doesn’t know this is why I’m dragging my feet teaching him how to drive. I literally feel like his driver’s license would be a threat to him.

    1. @Dreesdog7 I am white and all my friends are black, including my woman and not one of them have had a horrible experience with police. Footnote: I am from Alabama and have had a few issues with cops. Never generalize, it just makes you look fucking ridiculous.

    2. @Brad Thompson Self- Fulfilling prophecy, the past does not dictate the future, fact. This is not the fucking sixties and America has come a long way, period. You are over ten times more likely to be killed by your own race than idiot police. Do you fear them the same? Treat every situation differently and independent of one another, objectively. Learn to act like a salesman when confronted by police and keep a Bible in the car with you- visibly. No one size will fit all but it is better than acting like a scared schoolgirl- never works.

    3. @Lilli C Not a great example, Switzerland is one of the richest and white as snow. I went several years ago and never saw one black person, period. Beautiful country and immaculately clean but not very diverse- ethnically speaking.

  8. It’s so horrible that this happens to people. I’m sorry you both had to suffer like this. I’m glad your both okay.

    1. What about the ‘next time’? Will they be just as ‘lucky’? We shouldn’t have to live like this!

  9. if he had been pulled over at night and reached into the back seat to get ID out of his backpack=DEAD. if he survived an initial contact and gave a cop a White Karen Response of “this will take a minute” = Dead

  10. i am not from usa, but watching this video just bring tears, it’s not fair to have to live in fear from the ppl who is supposed to protect you.

    1. i live east coast canda..its the same.maybe no guns drawn but the assumption of guilt is same..like a horse owner wrangling up his horse off the street.we are not horses and u dont own us,perhaps please and thank you and a Sir.even when my skin is black and i dont look like your husband brother father uncle..because i dont fucking need to

    2. @Geneass _Also how “proportionately” are black people killed by cops while unarmed? 19 white, 9 black._
      Source please?

  11. I sobbed watching this. Particularly whwn Darrius said “i could have been dead today”! And there was sadness & hopelessness in his eyes! Lord God? Why o why? 😭

    1. @Thunk Junk you are completely missing the point … listen to what his “white. female, delving into a bag friend” experienced … and compare the actions of the cop(s) on this video, and her traffic stop …. plus the fact that they’d already brought the “impersonators” photo up, and he clearly looked quite different from the real Darius. … if Darius had delved into a backpack on his back seat, would he still be alive? … why did he even have to leave his vehicle? …. or require added law enforcement officers when he clearly wasn’t the offender that they were after?

  12. When I was growing up, a cop’s gun never left its holster until the situation was at an end. Now, the gun leaving its holster is where nearly every situation begins.

    1. @John Grisham the fact of the matter is, a roofer in America is twice as likely to die at work than a cop, and roofers don’t walk around pointing guns at slippery shingles. Police are ranked 24th most dangerous profession and over 50% of police deaths occur in traffic accidents, not from perps. They have perpetuated this lie to take our rights away from us under the guise of “officer safety”

  13. I once had a warrant I didn’t know about for failure to appear on a traffic ticket I had forgotten. I got pulled over for a headlight and the officer let me off with a ” Get the headlight fixed and check in with the court to reschedule that court appearance, have a good night.” A couple months later my sister got a flat on the highway, I was with her, and the only person who stopped to help us was a black guy. When a cop did show up finally, we were all leaning against the car taking selfies while we waited for a tow truck. The absolute stink eye this poor guy got from the cop was beyond asinine. We had made a new friend over the anime Tshirt he wore because we liked the same anime and this cop acted like he was concerned the guy might be “bothering” us.
Epilogue: 3 yrs later we’re still friends with anime guy.

    1. @Knightmarecity K All of it? Because I’ve seen anime that only has like 2 seasons out of like 300 episodes on Netflix.

    2. People like you who know and are aware of your pribiledge need to use it to help black people. Think of how much trauma blacks go.through everyday of their lives. It’s cops trying to kill them at a traffic stop or cops.kneeling.on their necks.to.koll them or employers deliberately not hiring a qualified black person to teachers calling.cops for 4 year old black girls in school to white women being a thorn in black.womens lives claiming of the hair that grows naturally.out of their scalp the way God made it grow and white entitled girls go round complaining that the hair God ga e black.women is unkempt, distracting and unruly! How do you think black people feel! That cop drew out her gun when she was jist doing a traffic stop! What the heck.r u drawing put your weapon for ? Answer cause he has melanin in his skin which means he’s a black man and can get this lead
I totally hate these people . I.truly hate them! Use your.priviledge to hel others in the black.unity which YOU KNOW.ARE IN THE LINE OF FIRE FROM THESE WHITE COPS

      pardon any typos

    3. @SwiftBlade4 No, there are over 900 episodes and more to come. Byut Netflix will get you started.

  14. As she was telling her experience, I was almost on tears. She was given the benefit of the doubt and then some. My skin color is a threat as soon as I wake up.

    1. I know right…the officer went back to the patrol car and gave her a couple of minutes to get herself together…WAIT, WHAT????

  15. I think it’s crazy how we live in the same country pay taxes to the same government but have dramatically different lived experiences.. I use to get upset when my white friends would try to invalidate what I was going through then I just realized they have no clue because they would tell me stories and I would wonder how they survived it.

  16. Note to police: drawing your weapon counts escalating the pressure in a situation. Often I hear that they drew their weapon for protection, or for safety. But if you leave the gun in your holster, and use your words, you’ll find most every situation is safe and manageable.

  17. It’s heartbreaking that not only as a parent you have to talk to your sons about the racism and excessive use of force in policing (that they may encounter), you have to talk to your daughters as well. Don’t wait until they are teenagers, start at 5yrs old. 🙏🏼
