    1. @adnan tarek That’s not true, have you ever been to prison? I would honestly rather have life in prison than be sitting on death row waiting to be killed. Most of the people sit on death row for about 10 years before they’re executed. I’ve been to prison and it’s really not that bad. You have TVs in your room, CD players, commissary, and all types of stuff.

  1. This man was sentenced to 24 years in prison in 2000 for the same crime but was eligible for release after 85 percent of that sentence was served. If he had serve his full sentence, this lady would still be alive. The justice system has failed us once again.

    1. You’re probably right but let me tell you something my grandfather’s brother was driving This Old Car someone told him not to come this way but when he come back he went that same road that they told him not to travel on so when he was coming back they shot at his car several times my grandfather’s brother which is my uncle he got out of the car he shot one time and killed that guy but after before he did that he told that guy you pick the wrong person to shoot at my grandfather did get him out of jail he only stayed in there for a few days cuz it’s for self-defense

    2. Yes, good point, but the DNA from the blood that splattered on the defendant’s clothing and glasses is evidence. Not the splatter patterns themselves. Anyway, there is substantial evidence pointing to the defendant to rule out the husband.

  2. Just too sad for words.. My sympathy are with her family and friends.. R I P. 🌸🌺💐💖🎈🌻🙏

  3. Hard for words to even express what trauma her family is going through & will for time to come. Our true heart felt sorrow for them.
    Condolences to family.

    1. @margaret webb What stats and from who? Source? The latest statistics that have been kept for how many years? 40? That’s the accountabity part. Violence against women is not a modern day phenomenon. I kid you not.

  4. And just like that, children lost their mom, parents lost a daughter, kids lost their Teacher etc …
Condolences to the family, her friends and all who knew her. 🙏

  5. If your crime has anything to do with kidnapping, rape, or child harm you should never have the chance to get out ever. Period.

    1. @Emmanuel U Every time someone brings up the possibility of rehabilitation or x amount of years is enough, my retort is I don’t care, I don’t want criminals getting in the way of my and others innocent pursuits. If it were up to me, committing certain crimes means separating the criminal from peaceful, law abiding society, e.g. keeping them in jail. It’s just as much about keeping the scum away from innocent people as it is about punishing for punishing sake.

    2. I feel so much pain for this woman and her family. The worst nightmare for any person to be subjected. Lives ruined. A life taken. Senseless.

    1. Dining in your new house is on your 😖🤯😶‍🌫️😥😥

  6. This is heartbreaking and painful. Teacher, mom, wife, daughter, sister and by the looks of her pleasant smile the friends of many.
As a former competitive distance runner I keep picturing this woman enjoying her run in the zone of her high and all of a sudden horror. Since this guy is a repeat offender and this is a murder following a kidnapping I hope the state goes for the death penalty. Infuriating that, that POS murdered this innocent woman who was simply out on a run.

    1. @E Bingo Wyer The people that killed Arbery went too far and are in jail. However, just how would they have had access to the vid and inventory of the house under construction to know that nothing was taken? Given the recent break ins and Arbery’s criminal past, what do you think his likely intent was entering the house?

    2. @Tree Lover You are defeated. Stop blaming the victim. Promote policies and politicans that are tough on crime. You are resoonsible if you fell for that ‘defund the police’ progressive ideology.

    3. @Tree Lover I don’t know if she was training for something but your response shows a complete ignorance of training as a runner.
1st off it’s cooler during that time. Less traffic on the roads. If you’re training for a road race of some kind being in the gym on a treadmill or doing laps on ultra small track won’t cut it.
I also think it’s ignorant to blame the victim. That woman had a right to be where she was.
If you step out of your residence and get hit immediately by a vehicle at your front door should someone say you shouldn’t have stepped outside? That’s about how ridiculous your comment sounds to me.

  7. That they would have even considered bail is beyond belief. This criminal should never see the light of day again if sentenced to jail. Since he had 20 years to leard that crime has consequences, he obviously learned nothing and our sysstem’s leniency cosst this woman her life!

  8. She was just living her life & boom, that’s it, her life is over. I was praying that she would be found alive & that she’d be on GMA telling her story in a month. What a senseless tragic loss. Hopefully her family will have enough power to finally make a change against violent offenders. RIP Eliza 🕊I hope we can pass ‘Eliza’s Law’ to save other women/men from the same fate

  9. This is so heart breaking. If I am depressed over this, I can just imagine how the family is feeling. Lord have mercy.

  10. I feel so bad for those poor babies. My heart hurts for them losing their momma. God please comfort the family. Hold them close.

  11. I am so sorry for her family and I will pray for their comfort and for her quick passage to peace with God. On another note, I hope they sentence him to life, without parole, at hard labor. I hope they show him no mercy during the hearing and his incarceration after. I am a peaceful woman, but I can’t help hoping that he suffers terribly for the rest of his life. I’m not sure I want to know the details. The fact that he killed her violently is enough for me. I wish every case had such a swift response and conclusion. My heart is with her devastated family, especially her children, who will now not have the joy of such a wonderful being in their lives.

  12. Sad. RIP lady. At least they find her body after a few days, some families never even get that. Don’t let them take you anywhere, any slim chance of survival is gone when they take you to a second location, fight and die there if you have too. God knows what these creeps want to do to you when they get you alone and isolated.

    1. It sounds like since they found evidence of her injuries at the scene of the kidnapping and in his car when it was found, that she was likely dead during her fight with him. He supposedly had a handgun and likely did not expect her to fight so hard to stay out of his car and he had to use the gun to hit her with, which must have left her with a skull fracture and evidence of such wound. A coroner will be able to detect a death from such a wound, if it was immediate. When surveillance showed he waited 4 minutes with her in the car after his attack, the only reason for him to have done that would have been to realize he had killed her when he may have only meant to knock her out so she could not scream or fight him, and added the urgent need for him to think of a place to leave her body, or to molest her in the same place and leave her body, before he began to drive. They found her jogging trunks in a paper bag it was reported today which means he must have wanted to hide the evidence of his rape that got on her shorts so he took them away from where he left her body and tossed them as they found the bag near his home that he shared with his brother, the same home he was found watching police arrive and then attempted to flee, until they ran him done and captured him and took him in. I wonder by his activity if he is mentally incompetent, perhaps from when he was born, as this crime was so easy for investigators to find him as well as the evidence of her assault and her body and then link it all to him. Back in the day when he was arrested at 16 for a kidnapping, it would have been 2000 and he then served 20 years being released two years ago. A person may have been mentally challenged and still face years in prison for kidnapping, as they did not have the testing they have in the past 22 years for violent offenders who were in their teens. Will not be surprised if the court-appointed defense attorney does not have him tested for incompetence to be able to stand trial and see the Judge decide he should simply be incarcerated in a prison hospital for the criminally insane. In the courtroom today, he appeared to be unaware of what he had done or how he got there. He was wearing a COVID facemask but his eyes looked like he was out of it when he was brought into the courtroom, like he did not expect that he was going to a courtroom.

  13. Abductions should carry a life sentence. Condolences to her children, husband, family and friends. Great work by Law Enforcement!

    1. Yes … whatever happened to the kidnapping law that called for the death penalty..my school history taught us the punishment for the kidnapper of the Lindbergh child..death..an eye for an eye..still is relevant for some crimes..🇨🇦

  14. The man is a monster and a deranged man, certainly a lost soul. Sincere condolences to the family members of the deceased woman.
