Breonna Taylor charges: Warrant was very sloppy police work

CNN's Drew Griffin says the real crime in the Breonna Taylor case was the events that led Louisville police to Taylor's home and said the police work that led to the warrant was "very sloppy."
A former police officer was indicted only on first-degree wanton endangerment charges for his actions on the night Breonna Taylor was killed by police.
Two other officers who also fired shots during the botched March raid were not indicted, meaning no officer was charged with killing the 26-year-old Black EMT and aspiring nurse. After the decision was announced, members of the Kentucky National Guard and state police were activated as protesters took to the streets and some clashes erupted with officers in riot gear.
The long-awaited grand jury charges against the former officer, Brett Hankison, were immediately criticized as insufficient by demonstrators and activists. They had demanded more serious felony counts and the arrests of the three officers at Taylor's apartment when she was killed.

    2. @98LowDown Yea – I know exactly what your saying. When I was reading the full story that’s what I thought – but then – it doesn’t make it right. Now seeing the changes being handed down – makes it seem very very wrong. Rgds.

    1. Maybe. But the appropriate response might have been to call 911, not shoot through the door. Unless of course you had something to hide.????

    1. You probably won’t here much of that on cnn but now all the looneys will comment on you saying oh well… and the usual bs liberal woke blmae trump

    2. Callum nathan That’s a pretty stupid statement, you sound mad that they are reporting on cops unjustly murdering people.

    1. @Tony5000 What part of he thought that it was her ex the police were searching for do you NOT fucking understand? That’s why he was released.

    2. @Michael Whitted Why the foul, uneducated, small me need language? Are you that ignorant, or simply uneducated and disrespectful of anyone you disagree with?

    1. Mark Warren – true. These cops are listening to way too much rap, since they think breaking into innocent people’s homes and murdering them is cool

    2. I don’t expect a lot of protesting at this juncture, the American patriots and citizens already tried that. I wonder how many police will die in random shootings over the next few weeks?

  1. Investigation of the police work that led up to this situation should be done on a federal level…that way theres no bais… only facts then judgment

    1. The FBI was involved with this. I can’t remember how many total were involved but altogether investigators have over 200 years experience. They said so earlier during the announcement at the press briefing. The FBI concluded that it was cosgrove whose shot was fatal. The other 4, or 5 shots fired ( I believe it was 5 total) were non fatal shots fired by the sergeant. Either way those two are in the clear, as Walker fired first, striking the sergeant in the thigh. That is why police fired, they were returning fire after being fired upon. Now as for the idiot officer that mag dumped his gun he is being charger because bullets went astray into another home with a man, pregnant woman, and child. Those are the only chargers being brought forward. Both the police department and FBI were heavily involved in this case that is why everything about this has been fairly silent until now. God bless you dear, I’m not being rude to you in any way just forwarding what I watched of the briefing earlier today.

    2. That’s also why the DA turned it over to an impartial grand jury. It is made up of citizens who have to make a ruling based solely on the evidence.

  2. Protests LOL A cop has already been shot …NO REPORT HERE THOUGH RIGHT …He wasn’t black i guess oh wait black cop lives DON’T MATTER …I get so confused

  3. Once the state has been founded, there can no longer be any heroes. They come on the scene only in uncivilised conditions.

  4. We investigates ourselves and found out that police officers involved said they don’t wanna go to jail and we decided not to charge them. That’s how police investigate themselves.
