Burkhalter: Police Killing Of Daunte Wright ‘Not An Accident. It's A Form Of Bias’ | The Last Word

  1. That cop knows the difference from the feel of a gun and a taser. Fire her then jail her. That was no accident.

    1. @Helen Hunter it’s media bias by race baiting news media hacks, that’s what it is. You people see everything in terms of colour. So who are the real racists?

    2. @FalconXE302 so it couldn’t be incompetence then? Tell me that you haven’t based your assumption on skin colour.

    3. Maybe the driver could have just done what the cop asked these black men need to learn to listen to directions and this would stop happening

    1. The killer has resigned. That means she gets her pension , and probably no jail time because they didn’t fire her. 🙄

    2. She knew she screwed up one second later. She’ll either resign or take permanent desk duty.
      *EDIT* She resigned.

    3. How was this incident racially motivated in any way? This hack race grifter is straight up impugning the officer with ill-intent and racial hatred.
While I’m at it, how is George Floyd’s death racially motivated, besides the fact hes black and the officer was white?

MSNBC is always full of deranged lunatics.

  2. “I will tase you” was for the body camera only. A pistol and a tasser don’t look the same, don’t feel the same, and don’t weight the same. If the officer gets away with this every rogue officer across the country will yell “I will tase you” (for the body cam) before pulling out their gun and murdering unarmed blacks.

    1. @K Prieto
The only difference being BLM lashing out at the little people.
One can draw parallels everywhere else.

  3. He’s incorrect about this ‘only happening with one segment of the population’, it also happens with mentally ill and mentally disabled people and those with intellectual disabilities. Probably also occurs with undocumented people.

    1. @Rocky Mountain
If you were referring to the racist part no it’s not a real thought
I’m if I had to be honest I’m not see racism I’m see a serious dose of race baiting by the usual suspects

    2. @Rocky Mountain you either haven’t been paying attention the last few years or you’re intentionally lying

  4. How about we change the psych evaluation for police officers so that it actually reveals these biases?

    1. How bout we train them better? Wait… Doesn’t this mean to fund them..? Almost as if defunding the police leads to poor training…. Who would’ve thought that police training mainly relies on money

    2. that requires more funding. How’s “defund the police” looking now? I bet you were all aboard on the “defund the police” band wagon last Summer, weren’t ya?

  5. 26 years working for the Police department, and you don’t know the different between a Taser and Gun!

    1. You’d think the big yellow stripe on the taser would give it away as well…
Or perhaps the fact that the safety mechanisms aren’t the same…
Or that they have different pistol grips so that they can be identified by touch…
Or that the trigger feels differently….
Ya know, it is almost like she was pretending she had a taser in her hand for the bodycam…

    2. It’s a tragedy *BUT* it’s also an accident.
Is there a more socially acceptable term for ‘Brain Fart’? It’s that.

    3. She knew. She also knew that with all those bodycams on the only way she would get away with killing this man that she had a serious problem with for whatever reason, was to yell “Taser, taser, taser!” before pulling the trigger.

    4. Taser’s are worn on “Non-Dominant” hands side of the belt…. so she didn’t know she pulled from the wrong side of her body either!

  6. Right. Amber Guyger murdered Botham John in his own home while he was eating ice cream in his living room. By accident. GTFOH

    1. And she is now in jail.
What would you like to see as punishment?
I think you missed making your own point.

    2. This trial was a mess… from his brother hugging guy get to the bailiff and judge cuddling her. That entire trial was a bad reality show.

    3. @Michael MacGeorge for 5 years it’s a flick on the wrist for taking the life of a good man doing nothing wrong. And yes you sound like you condone what she did

  7. So nobody seen how long she had the gun, before she said tazor, and when she said tazor, and had time to shoot? Not accidental

    1. Ok bud, because you’re an expert on being in stressful situations. Here we go with the claim, “I’m a combat veteran with 10 tours to Iraq and Afghanistan, been shot a hundred times while drinking a cup of black rifle coffee.” Get real. She messed up big but killing this kid was not intentional. This is a training issue. But y’all are the same idiots that are saying we should defund the police…

    2. @Chris James Disagree it was not a highly stressful situation!! He was not a threat to others and they had his license plate!!

    3. @Elizabeth Anne sure, fighting with a guy who’s known to possess weapons and had a warrant for crimes involving the possession of weapons doesn’t make this stressful at all. Ok bro.

    1. lack of ongoing weekly or monthly training. Officers can go weeks or months without having to draw their weapon or tazer on a person that’s a threat. Training requires additional funding. How’s “defunding the police” sounding right about now?

    2. its easy to do in a split second rush like that. if he complied with officers then this wouldn’t have happened at all.

    1. it’s not a murder. a murder means direct intention towards that person that wasn’t a murder it was a traffic stop that went left. I don’t know why you don’t know the difference between what a murder is but that’s not murder

    2. @REAL BLACKS KNOW THE TRUTH YES you are right, I have corrected the term to an EXECUTION instead, since this is the trademark of US police today! RESPECTLESS executions for no reason but showing power after unnecessary escalation of a situation!

  8. Tazer different weight, color, and material than her Glock service weapon. Gonna be a hard sell she confused the two being a veteran cop and all.

    1. that’s not true. have you ever walked with a stun gun and a weapon simultaneously? I don’t think you have because if you did you would know that they do feel the same. especially the ones that are given to police officers the handle literally feels like the handle of a weapon

  9. Just proof what happens without video !! They would have screamed SELF DEFENSE 100 % without VIDEO GUARANTEED !!!

    1. Exactly!!! I feared for my life. He was running towards me. He lunged at me. He was reaching for my gun. He had a gun. All of these excuses have vanished since there are cameras everywhere now.

  10. Bro. Sometimes it’s better to let them go. Especially if you have all their information. Pick them up later.

    1. yeah let him reach into the car, pull out a gun and shoot his girlfriend or start shooting at the cops on scene. You’re f. king brilliant.

    2. @AlexisDyan Plenty of videos on YT showing people fleeing and hitting cops and civilians with their cars. Cops have an obligation to protect the rest of us and a right to defend themselves.

    3. @AlexisDyan the officers hadn’t searched the car you moron. Many officers have lost their lives by people reaching into their car or under a seat and grabbing a gun. Worst yet he could have grabbed a gun and shot his girlfriend. If you don’t think situations like that have not happened, you are truly a clueless, ignorant, uninformed person. You have no clue what you’re talking about and have obviously ZERO life experience.

  11. If the gun didn’t flip out of her hand from the unexpected recoil of a firearm then she was gripping the hand stock in expectation of recoil. She knew exactly what was in her hand.
