  1. Teens and Students where you at?

    our time has come! Protest

With Unity we can ask to change the school attending time to 8:30 instead of 7

    Whos with me?

  2. I’m a freshman in high school and i stay up until 11 or twelve doing homework since I am in 2 ap courses and the rest preap exept for my language and engineering classes and i have to wake up at 5 in the morning so this would be so helpful in trying to stay awake in class.

    1. It would just roll the clock back further. If you have an actual schedule, the time on the clock is immaterial. It’s the time on the task that is relevant.

    1. @Mirthandirxiii I believe that. But the answer isn’t in the same crooked greedy politicians who allowed this situation in the first place. The same ones we know receive huge amounts of money from the same corporations and factories spreading all the pollution, building cars to rely on fossil fuels, and oil cartels.

    2. @Demonica Hellspawn Then what, let it go on? They will not change because it’s more profitable not to.

    3. @Mirthandirxiii no. We can’t let it go on. But, I know that these same evil sociopaths who are destroying the planet are heavily invested in making us feel like it’s our fault and I think that’s evil squared. Maybe a few executions after being prosecuted in a world court?

  3. As a parent and a teacher, I see this in a lot of students. For those taking the bus, it is nice for them not have to stand in the street in the dark in the early morning too, which I always thought was unsafe. Time will tell if it is beneficial.

  4. Trumpies hear “science” and think “blasphemy!” I personally didn’t know about the melatonin-related phase delay. I assume she’s referring to the sleep cues we all get from darkness, teens biologically can’t fall asleep for a couple hours after everybody else does. I wonder what the evolutionary reason for this might be…??

    1. the problem is artificial blue light, natural blue light comes from the sun at a certain time in the day, blue light inhibits melatonin. All you have to do is put a blue light filter app on ur phone or pc 1 to 2 hours before u go to bed and boom u can literally feel the melatonin releasing. I don’t know why this info hasn’t gone mainstream yet cause it really does works.

  5. Well that’s too bad for me. I hated going to school by 7:40 AM (I think it was) during my high school days.
I definitely think it would’ve helped me.

  6. That explains why I could not get out of bed as a teenager.

However it does explain why I can’t get out of bed as a 51 year old.

    1. My school starts 7.00 am, and always forced me to attend flag ceremony every Monday for 1 hour from elementary to high school students.

      I’m from Indonesia.

    2. Schools don’t start until 9am here in Australia. We’re sensible enough to know that teenagers need more sleep because they’re growing kids.

    3. @Amethyst Im amazed at these hours, maybe they’d have less school shootings if they all got some sleep. I thought 9 am was rough lol .
