Canada Post hires extra staff to handle the spike in holiday parcels

Canada Post spokesperson Jon Hamilton says they have hired more than 4,000 extra staff and 1,000 vehicles to address increase demand.

  1. Every piece of mail sent out should be wearing a little mask and should be hosed down with 3 bottles of sanitzer, just in case.

  3. Operating costs are higher than the competitors, so this will cost tax payers how many 10’s of millions for a month or two?

  4. Quite clearly “we” are not all in this together.
    I’ve worked about 5 months full time this year and another 2 or so part time, my employer put what the government demanded in place, followed guidelines and we still have to close our doors.
    For those younger, I hope you are paying attention since you should be looking to be working in sectors that are as immune to government mandated shut downs as possible.

  5. Is Amazon beating Canada Post when it comes to shipping? Sure the rich company gets richer, thanks alot to the 2nd wave lockdown on some provinces.
