And yet, on covid, he’s still better than almost every republican in the house or the senate.

      #TRUMPSUCKERS

    2. @N Sidor bro im not a republican or a democrat i dont even live in the US…im just saying that this is controversial because he had no plan for the second wave.

    3. @Cotton the Easter Cottontail Rabbit
No problem, just refreshing to hear someone say what he said. Here we usually dont get that. Mostly a clown show…

    1. @Dean Nicholls Manitoba didn’t drop the “Progressive” from the party name. You’re thinking of the federal party that dropped it when they merged with the execrable Reform party,

    2. Love is weakness to the Trump people. Kellyanne and McEnany have love for the American people? Not even a smidgen. They are both on their own power trips. Nothing more. Okay, so Conway’s household is in a major meltdown, How annoying for Kellyanne.

    3. @Dean Nicholls i just realized i purged my life of my entire support base, because they litteraly became nuts.

    1. well said, as a American , we love our Canadian brothers and sisters and we hope you all stay safe and healthy

    1. @Carla g big picture you say. You have have a lot of straw man arguments in your little rant there btw. There was a South African and a Norwegian study that both say there will more deaths because of lockfown than c19. In US alone suicide and deaths related to drug use have risen substantially since lockdown. On this issue it’s the left that are the science deniers.

    2. @caddrafter48 so what would you do? Let’s hear your plan? The lockdown would have succeeded if the entire country was led by a man who was truthful from the beginning and not worried about re-election. If everyone followed through…all the governors, mayors…. like in most other countries the curve would have dropped enormously. And then opened up slowly and people were still diligent about social distancing and wearing masks we would not have reached this point…businesses would have reopened and people would have returned to work. But all you do is attack but don’t come up with solutions to the problem. How did Australia, New Zealand and parts of Europe deal with it?

    3. If Trump had an ounce of empathy, we wouldn’t be in this horrible mess.😢😢😢🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    4. @Carla g Like I said in an earlier post, isolate the elderly (70+) and immune compromised. Many other people more powerful than I and actually have the ability to do something have said the same thing. If you go visit grandma wear a mask and social distance. The lockdown would not have succeed. Some of the highest c19 cases are in lockdown areas of the country. The main goal was to flatten the curve. We did that and the politicians (hypocritical power hungry ones) still kept moving forward on shutting things down and for longer periods of time. Fauci himself has flip flopped on mask wearing. It doesn’t help, it helps, it doesn’t help it helps. The Danes did not implement a mask mandate or lockdown, yet have the lowest c19 cases and deaths. Other European countries have the strictest mask mandates and have a high rate of c19 and deaths. It can go either way, and it shows masks AND lockdowns are not the end all be all in fighting c19. Most European countries did like the US and locked down, and when c19 eased they opened back and are now considering lock down again after the surge. So you think everyone else did a better job at confronting c19, but in reality only a few other countries did. If you want to look a big picture, New Zealand and Aulstraila are islands. Easy to restrict and control travel on and off an island. It seems rather evident you have no idea what other countries are actually doing or not doing. The Europeans are no better (or worse – general speaking) in handling c19 than the US. You mention having a leader. It was Pelosi (and Deblasio) that called Trump a rac ist and xenophobe after his ban on travel from China Jan 31 after only 5 confirmed case in the US. Pelosi even went to Chinatown in San Fran to try and get tourist to come on down for a party. Biden called Trump the same things after his travel ban from Europe a month later. In the beginning many commentators in the MSM called the flu worse than c19 and not to worry about it even after Trumps ban. Real easy to find those videos on ytube if you’re willing to look. Somehow I doubt you will tho. So calling out hypocrites and sharing facts from the CDC are now “attacks”. If you see those as attacks, I see how the term snowflake started.

    5. @robin duncan So empathy to you is telling people not to visit loved ones on Holliday’s (weddings, funerals, etc) and then going to do that very same thing you tell the plebes not to do? Good luck if you keep voting those unempathetic hypocrites into office.

“If you can’t take care of your sick in the country, forget it, it’s all over. I mean, it’s no good. So I’m very liberal when it comes to health care. I believe in universal health care. I believe in whatever it takes to make people well and better.”

“A friend of mine was in Scotland recently. He got very, very sick. They took him by ambulance and he was there for four days. He was really in trouble, and they released him and he said, ‘Where do I pay?’ And they said, ‘There’s no charge.’ Not only that, he said it was like great doctors, great care. I mean we could have a great system in this country.”

“Hillary Clinton I think is a terrific woman. I am biased because I have known her for years. I live in New York. She lives in New York. I really like her and her husband both a lot. I think she really works hard. And I think, again, she’s given an agenda, it is not all of her, but I think she really works hard and I think she does a good job [since joining the Obama administration as Secretary of State]. I like her.”
― The Donald @ interview with Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren, March 2012

“I know [Hillary Clinton] very well, and I know her husband very well, and I like them both. They are just really terrific people. I like them both very much. “In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat. I’ve been around a long time. And it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Now, it shouldn’t be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats. …we’ve had some pretty bad disaster[s] under the Republicans.”

[Trump in 2016, after winning the electoral college with narrow wins in three states, while losing the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes]

“If the election were based on total popular vote I would have campaigned in N.Y. Florida and California and won even bigger and more easily” (Nov. 15)
      ― The Donald @ Twitter, November 2016

“Mitt is tough. He is smart. He is sharp. He is not going to allow bad things to continue to happen to this country that we all love. So Gov. Romney, go out and get em. You can do it.”

[Speaking of his admiration for strong authoritarian government]
“Q: What were your other impressions of the Soviet Union?
A: I was very unimpressed. Their system is a disaster. What you will see there soon is a revolution; the signs are all there with the demonstrations and picketing. Russia is out of control and the leadership knows it. That’s my problem with Gorbachev. Not a firm enough hand.
Q: You mean firm hand as in China?
A: When the students poured into Tiananmen Square [in 1989], the Chinese government almost blew it. Then they were vicious, they were horrible, but they put it down with strength. That shows you the power of strength. Our country is right now perceived as weak… as being spit on by the rest of the world.”

    3. No he is not. Hes playing an act. He for months denied how bad it was. He was a trump. He just bashed Feds all the time saying people were overreacting now he is begging for Ottawa to help set up field hospitals. His refusal to do the right thing is what led to Manitoba being so screwed right now

    4. Manitoba was one of the safest spots to be. This guy didn’t listen to professionals. Gutted our health care program. Pushed the restart Manitoba economy over locking down. Now we are in this horrible position because of his policy’s implemented over the summer.

      It’s a cute soundbite though.

    1. Manitoban here. Don’t let him fool you. He’s actually had one of the most negligent, Trumpian COVID responses of all the Premiers in Canada. He’s only shifted hard the other way in recent weeks in order to save face now that he has the lowest approval rating and the highest COVID numbers per capita of any Premier/Province in the country.

    1. I was thinking of flying from CA to PA to spend Christmas with my family. Flights are incredibly cheap. I would take every precaution. But, it isn’t just about me.

    2. Karma gets us all. When I’m right I’m wrong when I’m wrong I’m right and be damned either way. Swims in a river of sadness wandering in a mental flu like state of being vs real covid but alive. One deadly ,the other ongoing.

    3. Trump and his Mafia family and Moscow Mitch is guilty of treason, (owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000;) Georgia Republicans -“Don’t vote for the Republicans in Georgia” Republicans Election has already been decided you lost, your top Republican officials are telling you not to vote in the Georgia runoff maybe listen to them ? #stoptrumpCOUP #trumptreason Trump is still president and 100% responsible for these deaths from Covid , stop the trump virus COUP ,all of trumps money comes from Russia , all the proof is in Trumps taxes still not released

    1. “I think if this country gets any kinder or gentlеr, it’s literally going to cease to exist.”
      ― The Donald @ Playboy, March 1990

    2. “Leadership: Whatever happens, you’re responsible. If it doesn’t happen, you’re responsible.”
      ― The Donald @ Twitter, November 2013

    1. HIs words tang louder than most. Why? Because it had nothing to do with politics. It was a heartfelt plea. Plenty was said in those 2 minutes. Stay home and work on a hobby: paint, play a musical instrument, read books, study a foreign language, write a short story. Anything.

    2. Our family is gonna do a facetime ap for a while. But the thing I’m most excited about are these tiny Santa pants I can fill up like stockings with little stuffers to leave on each family’s porch on Xmas day. I got each household a touch-free thermometer, a bottle of nice moisturizing hand sanitizer, and some pomegranate cashew treats, all vegan and cruelty-free. I don’t think it’ll feel like a big sacrifice. We’re together in spirit.

    1. I’m from Manitoba and he has been a colossal failure throughout this entire pandemic. This was a highly orchestrated response to him saying his approval rating is so low because no one likes covid. He has a 30% approval rating.

    1. Manitoban here. Don’t let him fool you. He’s actually had one of the most negligent, Trumpian COVID responses of all the Premiers in Canada. He did nothing over the summer to prep for the second wave, and his health minister publicly vilified doctors who warned of how bad it would be. He’s only shifted hard the other way in recent weeks in order to save face now that he has the lowest approval rating and the highest COVID numbers per capita of any Premier/Province in the country.

    3. @Hu Jiaming
it kind of looks like one already did.. ( and that’s not really meant to be funny at all…..)

      definitely hostile
certainly isn’t going to be part of the solution.. only ………the problem

Beyond time to get rid 👹👎

  1. “So I’m the guy who has to tell you to stay apart at Christmas…I’m the guy who’s stealing Christmas to keep you safe”.
    Thank you Sir, Truth!!!

    1. “I think if this country gets any kinder or gentler, it’s litеrally going to cease to exist.”
      ― The Donald @ Playboy, March 1990

    1. Not really. I’ve lived in his province my entire life, I’ll say that if you take that clip in and of itself, it was a decent speech, but in the bigger picture, his response to COVID has been one of the most inept and borderline criminal in all of Canada. Long before the pandemic hit, Brian Pallister was notorious for completely gutting Manitoba’s healthcare system. He rushed to be the first Premier to reopen his province’s economy, and did practically nothing to prepare for the second wave. His health minister publicly vilified doctors who warned of how serious the second wave would be, and when it came, Pallister waited until Manitoba had the worst COVID case numbers in all of Canada before he reimposed safety measures. He’s recently veered hard in the other direction and imposed some of the strictest lockdown measures in the country (although even then put minimal guidelines in schools)

He’d love for everyone to think that the reason why he has the lowest approval rating of any Premier in Canada is because he’s imposed the strictest safety measures in Canada, but in reality Manitobans hate him because it was his ineptitude that got Manitoba to the point where it was so desperately needed, and because he dragged his heels on doing what needed to be done, and has not accompanied it with giving closed businesses the support they need to stay afloat.

  2. what a refreshing wave of humility and leadership, honestly listening to this plea is like breathing mountain air

    1. that’s the norm here. the culture is different and people expect good governance, an equitable social safety net and a strong health care system.

  3. A plea to all Canadians and Americans. Stay home and stay safe this holiday season. Thanks for sharing that MSNBC!
