so is trump admin silently getting rid of the numbers or has the last few days slowdown legit?

    • I have 2 friends with covid19, they got tested outside a hospital and sent home to recover, they are not into the numbers or follow ups as infected, just to give you an idea, the numbers of deaths or infected are being made up

    • You probably have to wait for about a month to see the effect of lifting lockdowns.

    • 2ladybughippies | May 28, 2020 at 1:58 AM | Reply

They are not reporting true numbers it’s way higher in cases & deaths. Dump & Mitch were caught

    • GreensOplenty
Begin checking the numbers in 14 days when people get sick after contracting it during memorial day weekend…

    • Ian McCutcheon | May 28, 2020 at 4:59 AM | Reply

@Morfo1010 They aren’t being made up there is just always a lag between when people get infected and when they start showing symptoms. That is why the CDC recommended to states to wait another 14 days to reopen.

It all falls down to the people, the people are the ones filling the beaches and the malls because they are so much more important then everyone else and they just can’t stay at home because their home must be miserable or something

    • @eurekajim #VoteBlue2020 I think you forgot the main cause of the virus was China.
Do you think Trump was responsible for all the flu deaths last year ?
How many people died in care homes thanks to the governor of new York.
Congress is still on holiday they sure are a caring crowd.

    • Tosca Tattertail | May 28, 2020 at 9:38 AM | Reply

@fran bran the main cause of the virus is nature it was a corona virus that was only found in bats at the research facility, the fact that most of the pandemics in the last decade or so have come from the same area of the world should make people stop and listen when a new virus surfaces from the same area.
–this is NOT a Flu, it is more virulent, more contagious and more complex than any Flu that has been around. and the 60,000 deaths from the flu is a world wide number, it’s usually only 6,000 to at most 20,000 in the US (do the research).
      — how many people died in care homes thanks to the president’s refusal to enable the defense act so major corporations with the ability to mass produce needed supplies were put into place. The governors looked to the federal government for the support that every other president has provided in a medical crisis and got told to deal with it themselves cause the federal government was not going to help.

    • They clearly have no concerns if they become infected and/or pass the disease to others. While that would weigh on me to know I might have behaved poorly and caused an unnecessary death, for these people their only focus is on themselves. As for others, who cares (they think)

    • @Tosca Tattertail Now look here dr Tosca, you have been reading the wrong books again.
First off how did they find any bats in the Wuhan research facility ? the government removed everything from the lab two weeks before the virus was released, no records exist or any work that was performed there.even all the scientists have disappeared .
People died in care homes thanks to the governors of the states that put infected people into them.
Why did these state governors of democratic states scream they wanted ventilators ,when most of them were never used ?
Do you have any idea of the genetic make up of covid19 I do not think you even looked it up.
This virus cannot bind to any receptor in any animal on the planet.
No bats have covid 19 , the virus was adapted in a lab , to bind to the H2 part of the human cell.
Instead of attacking Trump why not question the country that this virus came from ?
Scientist from America were caught working with Wuhan ,

  3. how is america screwing this up so badly? Most of the world has this way more figured out?

  4. Imagine how difficult it must be for these experts to have to explain complex things like antibody tests to a president so dumb that he thinks “testing positive” for something is a good thing. 🤔😄😆😅

Naimul Haq so one could honestly think that the thousands of tests conducted by the White House are in all probability inaccurate thus endangering all in the president’s immediate circle?

    • @kyRee Elain Prohm Plasma, anti-body, antigen, none work and no lab can give more than 30% accuracy, so USA doesn’t want to spend money on these failed research.

  6. Flashy Paws | May 28, 2020 at 2:43 AM | Reply

i think you can. i think you can operationalize it and say this is safe for you.
in an ideal world, where every case was discovered and tracked and there werent any interruptions to peoples lives… then maybe you couldnt. maybe youd wait and make sure first.
but in a world where an antibody test may be the only information available… i think its probably safe to say that those whove had COVID-19 and recovered are at less risk of catching COVID-19 than those who havent caught it yet. if this is the only straw we have, we can grasp it. since it doesnt really make any difference whether we’re right or not, now does it.

Why do you say that it is a great job even after 100,000 deaths? After testing would it reduce deaths?

    • S Lee Sanders | May 28, 2020 at 7:49 AM | Reply

Abdulalim Omar Really think so. How? Please tell the world of you great knowledge in infectious disease control.

    • Tosca Tattertail | May 28, 2020 at 9:40 AM | Reply

Trump says it’s a great job because it’s not the million or so deaths some of the models had predicted would happen if nothing at all was done. But this is not over yet, so who knows what the final body count will be and if that will even be totally accurate.

    • Webee JidnGlo | May 28, 2020 at 9:58 AM | Reply

Yes. There could be a system to determine actual conditions and infection rates, allowing for a strategy of protective measures. It could cut deaths into a third. Not a cure, but a time buyer.

Most dead are old and taking money from social security if they died is better for saving money.

  8. I love how MSM keep on insisting it is a political divide and every one can see the divide is of stupidity. One side completely stupid and believing anything what their beloved leaders spew out, on the other side normal people.

    • So long as you’re talking about the stupidity of Trump and the people who still support him, I agree with you.

    • S Lee Sanders | May 28, 2020 at 7:52 AM | Reply

Durango Trump the evil genius or the most stupid ever . Make up your minds. He is not both. Oh wait. You believe MSNBC.

    • @S Lee Sanders Let’s just say he isn’t so stupid. Look what he has done. He fires to control, he fights established procedures put in place to protect, he supports dictators. His actions , as well, are those of a dictator. And we know these are intelligent men, who think only of themselves. Check your history. Hitler wasn’t dumb. Putin is far from it. Trump and McConnell follow their leads in goose stepping form.

    • Patsy Sadowski | May 28, 2020 at 1:34 PM | Reply

Bob Holmes no he’s just stupid. I just don’t buy the argument that the stupid can’t be bad intentioned too. What is amazing is the excuses some of these people still make for him.

  9. Good thing Trump told us he is not responsible. Otherwise he would be the worst leader of a country during a crisis ever.

Why is it other countries testing is so much better then the US? We can’t even trust the CDC or the FDA or birx or even Fauci because they are controlled by Impeached trump, the deceiver in chief. God help us.

VOTE BLUE COME NOVEMBER SAVE OUR COUNTRY AND THE REST OF THE WORLD FROM IMPEACHED trump AND THE COWARDLY gop thugs who enable him and his corrupt administration.

  13. Specificity, try saying it three times fast.

  14. So CDC/ FDA were wrong again? I guess that the odds favor them being right about something sooner or later. What ever happened to bend the curve and then establish Herd Immunity?

  15. Remember, a court has stated that Rachel Maddow doesnt state FACTS, only OPINIONS.

  16. Another failure of the incompetent permanent government bureaucrats…

Thank you, Rachel, for having intelligent and knowledgeable people on the show. We want the truth. We need the truth to make personal decisions. We don’t need happy lies. Thanks, Dr. Adalja.

  18. Americans: “I will not take a Vaccine. But a big Yes to unapproved antibody tests!”

  19. How about checking out T cells? That’s the most accurate

  20. LOL. People are still watching MSNBC.
