The problem is, tRumps patriot party will indeed destroy the GOP and make them politically impotent and trumpists patriot party will not get nearly enough political support to make then relevant either which causes two problems.
One is the democrats will essentially win every election by default, that means absolute democratic power indefinitely and as a centrist, I see the danger in that. Another issue is the patriot party becoming so unhinged they become a fascist extremist party and further escalate the risk for civil war, we’ve already seen they are more than willing to attack. Lies and truth no longer matter with these people, they’ve got their opinions and no matter what evidence you show them, they are not going to accept reality.

The republicans proved today that they will not vote to convict. They are too partisan. I’d be shocked if they could get 10 to convict. They are corrupt to the core. They see convicting Trump as spitting in the face of 74 million people that are in their states.

Here’s my question. Every single person gets so upset when the subject of “white privilege” is spoken of. Why? This entire situation is the biggest proof of “white privilege.” This is also proof of white supremacy. This is after a terrorist attack.
You make a good point and I do believe there is a level of white privilege in this world. However, as a white person, it makes me a little upset because it’s overly used to discredit white people’s opinions. And I think it’s destructive to the young minds of black children. Growing up constantly hearing how bad white people are with their privilege will do more harm than good. At the end of the day I think it’s counterproductive in racial healing.
