It’s pretty damning that Trump didn’t attend or watch this hearing because if he cares about his presidency then he should be concerned about his presidency being in jeopardy. Ignoring your problems doesn’t make it any better. He has 1st hand information like Guilliani, Bolton, and Mulvaney who were all asked to not testify. The Republicans do not look good.
This is a SAD chapter in AMERICA’S history. The current bunch of Republican lawmakers make us a laughing stock, around the world. trump has bought into his own hype & seems unable to differentiate between what’s real and what’s NOT. A potentially grave situation. But Republicans have chosen to not only IGNORE this but to join him in his ALTERNATE REALITY. Trump’s unprecedented STONEWALLING speaks loudly. His refusal t o share his personal tax information also speaks VOLUMES. Republicans have chosen to give him a free pass on his CRIMINALITY. Which brings us to today & IMPEACHMENT PUBLIC HEARINGS. A innocent president would show up.
@April Jones-Foston Yes, it’s also sad that Fox news assumes that viewers will get too bored to see these hearings because there’s no pizazz. I noticed that being in a live feed of 6k people commenting during the hearing from The David Pakman show was very interesting. And yesterday the top 5 Google searches involved the impeachment hearings. So to acknowledge Fox news now is to acknowledge that you’re too dumb or too bored to watch. I want to believe that the American people are better than that. Luckily so many other news stations discussed the key moments of the hearings.
@Lunara Lucifera, I want to believe AMERICA is better than what we are seeing the last several years. FOX is doing unprecedented DAMAGE to its viewers by MISREPRESENTING the news & propping up the donald. In essence working as a PROPAGANDA channel, soley for trump.
Trump was watching. Of course he wants to see how his bootlickers are defending him. He was tweeting about Marie Yovanovitch as she was testifying.
This is the most critical period for my country, not only in my lifetime but in many lifetimes. My fear is that the corrupted White House and the completely complicit Republican Congress will drag my country down to a place it should not and was never meant to be. I, for one, will NOT tolerate it. (Fox Nutwork is in the forefront of this treason).
NO matter how this impeachment turns out WE MUST VOTE THIS CLOWN OUT OF OFFICE!
This will be a test of the 3 EQUAL SEPARATE branches of government and their adherence to the constitution and not Party affiliation

Well in some ways it makes perfect sense. If he genuinely believes that CNN is fake news then that would be the perfect place for the Ukrainians to announce their “investigations”.

Clinton never testified at his impeachment trail and this isn’t even an impeachment trial, its only hearings about the possibility of impeachment…you do know this right
They would never put Trump at the table to testify nor would he appear to give testimony. Yet they and Trump keeps crying about not having their witnesses.

Watching the impeachment testimony yesterday I was flabbergasted with the Republicans defence, Mr Taylor gave a very clear account of what he new, and showed the president and his mob committed bribery and indeed corruption, absolutely!
Sondland got for a 1 M$ more than what he asked for!
Sondland will have to cough up another $1m for attorney fees just to stay out of prison.
