Chris Hayes Podcast with Natalie Wynn | Why Is This Happening? – Ep 167 | MSNBC

You might think that nothing good happens on the Internet anymore. It's just an algorithmically driven continuous feed of rage, disinformation, and subterfuge. Natalie Wynn, known for her YouTube channel ContraPoints, proves that good things are still happening on the Internet. Part philosopher, part performance artist, and wholly genre-defying, Wynn crafts gorgeous and ethereal video essays on everything from TERFS and J.K Rowling to the rise of incels. 1. The one thing I’d want to push back on is the idea that there isn’t something about American culture that makes these things worse…we have almost double the incidence of sociopathy as the world average (~4.4٪ vs 2.4%). There is something endemic to American culture that breeds sociopaths, and entirely too little interest or research in trying to nail down exactly what causes it.
