Chris Hayes Podcast With Samantha Power | Why Is This Happening? – Ep 132 | MSNBC

What does the world think of us right now? Former US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power says it isn’t surprising that our standing in the world has dropped, but rather just how precipitous those drops have been. This conversation, conducted as part of the Texas Tribune Festival, unpacks the sources of humiliation and isolation brought about by the Trump administration and what the stakes are for American democracy in the international context.

  1. Guys please don’t pay the media no mind about who’s leading in the polls. Vote for Joe Biden 2020, USA
    Needs you!!!!

  2. The fact that you guys are uploading at record speeds probably shouldn’t inspire to much confidence in people. It actually implies something not many might wantto admit.

I’ll just let this sit and boil in the sea of triggeredness that is to come.

    1. Hahaha! Ive been seeing the same thing. The left is trying desperately to get their base amped up and make it seem like things are going to go crazy. They’re pushing their base to violence when President Trump wins again.

  3. We can rebuild our alliances. We can fix how we combat coronavirus. We can fix the economy. The impossible feat at this point seems to be how do we stop the conspiracy that led to Qanon and militias? How do we heal this country if we don’t share the same reality? Trump has seeded Fascism into this democracy and undoing what’s been done will be far more difficult than policy. Biden is a good start simply because he’s compassionate and has empathy, but the challenge is to convince 30% of the country he isn’t a socialist. He isn’t part of a satanic pedophile ring. That he’s not destroying the values of this country. Trump will carry his rhetoric far beyond the presidency.

  4. ! We all know of the existence of Hunter Biden’s laptop, Archiving deals with Ukrainian, Russian, and Chinese businesses payments to Hunter for

  6. Federalist control of elections. One way one vote. For all of USA. Same rule for Florida same rule for Alaska. a % of voting booths per capita and for territories like Alaska a way of getting them votes to their stations , BY LAW, Alaskans are quite neighbourly, not by choice, but hey a law would not be bad. Should only one law on voting all over your nation, not your shimmy shammy rules, the rule of law should be encouraged.

  7. Every republican president has given a recession but this takes the cake 🤕

    When will Americans learn ?

  8. Hunter Biden texting his dad Big guy about 14-year-old girl naked pics FaceTime now he is under criminal investigation in Delaware

  9. How do people not understand and take pride in the fact that we built the current post-war world order and built it to our advantage. Any problems we have with poverty, jobs, etc is not due to “globalisation” but to issues with wealth distribution within the USA. Obviously we have the largest gdp in the world but also our gdp per capital is the highest of any major country (Monaco, Luxembourg and Norway are above us but each is easily explained by statistical aberrations). So our macro numbers are tops, we just have a distribution problem. Any monies we spend abroad are for our own good and are dwarfed by what we spend at home. So stop pointing fingers at the rest of the world and get mad that Bezos has $150 bio, or that the wealthiest Americans don’t pay any taxes, or that corporate sponsored republicans are defunding schools and blocking subsidised health care.
