Chuck Rosenberg Podcast With Preet Bharara | The Oath – Ep 2 | MSNBC

Preet Bharara served as the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, a storied office with a reputation for prosecuting some of the biggest and most interesting cases in the country. In that role, Preet led numerous high-profile financial fraud and public corruption investigations. A graduate of Harvard College and Columbia Law School, Preet also worked as an Assistant United States Attorney – a line prosecutor – in that same office.

His new book, Doing Justice, is a thoughtful and compelling reflection on his time in the Justice Department, the victims he helped, the agents and prosecutors with whom he worked, and the difficult judgment calls and dilemmas they tackled as they endeavored to do justice.

Today he’s the host of “Stay Tuned with Preet,” a weekly podcast featuring interviews with people from the world of law, politics, and journalism. On today’s episode, we discuss the rule of law, public conceptions – and misconceptions – about criminal justice, fascinating cases, and the way that good agents and prosecutors strive to meet their obligations.

  1. Why do rumors persist that the fbi and federal attorneys manage crime rather than oppose it? It seems like the more I read about politics and criminal activities of concurrent time periods are connected, more so now than ever?

  2. I’m enjoying this podcasts very informative and inspiring.thanks❤❤🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🌹🌹🌎🌎🌎

  8. Wow, this was thoroughly entertaining and interesting! I’ve never watched this podcast series because frankly, I don’t want to spend an hour, and because I didn’t think I would like it. So, it’s a sunday morning, my child is still asleep, and I wanted to make a stew and two different types of soups to freeze ahead of time. Needless to say, I had MORE than an hour to listen to something while working in the kitchen. I’m so glad I did! Seriously, this was very interesting! Give it a listen, (especially if you’re doing something like cooking or cleaning, lol)!

  9. Clearly, listening Preet talk in about the invisible influence by someone who dares to ignore the rule of laws…reminds me of how Bill Barr’s words and conducts are putting such an influence on the judgement and the Ethical and constitutional works of prosecutors…in fact, Bill Barr’s order to have a middle man in the Mueller or Russian probe has placed a pressure to the SDNY that has been investigating Rudy Giluani. Trump supporters and Republicans do not want to hear Preet’s faithful work ethics because all of Trump allies are corrupt. They are in the government, because of Trump’s money and power influence. They don’t have courage to stand up to keep the oath.

  10. This horrible situation in which our country finds itself has forced me to start trying to understand what you guys are really about. l deeply appreciate your efforts.

  11. I just discovered and listened to two of your podcasts. They’ve been some of the most fascinating discussions I ‘ve been privileged to listen to. I’m hooked!!

  12. Pretty good. I just have a burning question: when are you going to get to the part about when Russians were being investigated for the Money Laundering through NY Real Estate (as is happening right now and through Trump Towers); especially the part about RUDY GIULIANI (from Two Peas in a Pod Article) who dropped his investigation into Trump. PLEASE!!!!!

  13. This was fascinating and definitely warrants a subscription. I am always excited to see you both on TV ( You Tube). Thank you.
