  1. This poor Dr has been saying the same thing over and over for months, then to be contradicted over and over. The Country’s Highest Award is due to him again.

    1. @danny jemmott They did the same thing to Carter minus the racism. Carter was a big time Baptist but they hated him because he didn’t believe in the end-times and wouldn’t help them fulfill their prophecies. Instead he installed solar panels on the roof of the White House and talked about ending Americas addiction to oil.
They hated him enough to do anything to make sure he was a one term President, even making deals with the Iranians to keep the hostages until after the election to help Reagan. They have been evil for a long time, they have been at this for a while.
They hate Democrats because Democrats are always thinking about future generations, the cult doesn’t believe in or care about future generations. They invented a god that hates humanity as much as they do and they want to see all their many enemies burning in hell. They think they’ll be rewarded with paradise by helping to make this vision come true.

    2. The Constitution says, the President SHALL nominate Supreme Court Justices. It DOES NOT say, wait, postpone till next year etc… 🇺🇲🇺🇲Trump 2020🇺🇲🇺🇲

    3. @Brian Nave You’re a liar following liars. When this finally over no one will ever believe anything you say ever again.

    1. Agreed. There is no going back. coVid19 is here. Now bring in the #TESTS for the “Blue States” and Begin to Contain this #killerVirus.

  2. I’ve always thought it was better to listen to the doctors and scientists and not the blabbermouth politicians politicizing this epidemic pandemic whatever you want to call it it’s costing us American lives and throughout the world lives time to listen to scientists and doctors and not blabbermouth politicians that want to get reelected and stay out of jail

  3. I LOVE the fact that these 2 smart compassionate doctors, experts in their fields can discuss and talk about the COVID 19 virus in frank clear honest terms. I love that Dr. Sanjay Gupta, a strong expert in his field is humble and interested in what his senior Dr. Fauci has to share as a mentor and experienced scientist. Both these doctors so respectful & knowledgeable and clear without any panic to the public but clear as to what All citizens should be being doing together for the common good.

    1. @Toob247 Toob247 You are a very sad puppy.
Smart person?? Your lack of facility with the English language would say otherwise. It’s “like you and me” genius, not “like you and I”.
And by what means does anyone make anyone else watch a particular show on TV in the privacy of their own home? Your whole predicate is flawed. I think you have never learned to think critically.
If you ever do, please feel free to rejoin the community of thoughtful people. Until then don’t waste your time or ours.

  4. Thank you Dr. Fauci for your explanation of aerosolized virus transmission. As a retired RN, I always think in terms of “universal precautions” ( a concept from initial HIV management). I agree just use the guidelines of mask, social distancing… I am living in a 55+ development, in Florida, where some people have become very complacent & management keeps trying to resume gatherings & re open restaurants… even though this county is increasing in cases, deaths. I always tell people to remember: Anyone, Anywhere, at Anytime can give you this virus, so you need to follow the guidelines.
I feel people, just do what they want whether young or old. The young are just more obvious, than the older noncompliant ones. Jeanne

    1. There’s not much out there re the difference in aerosol viral transmission verus airborne transmission. And granted it can be confusing for lay people but there is an important difference and it should be noted as much as possible. If only we could tag mask wearing, good hand hygiene, social distancing with something as meaningful and recognizable as “universal precautions” (That may have come from our formerly super reliable CDC) that would immediately identify the idea but wouldn’t confuse the public. Healthcare professionals need to get to work on that. Maybe “respiratory precautions”?

  5. Whenever I get sick I consult a real estate developer…whenever I need to construct an office building I visit a physician…🙃

    1. @Sharon Snow I agree. It’s time to bring America back together and that starts with voting out the people who are intentionally dividing and confusing America it to try to stay in power.

    2. @Sharon Snow Donald Trump and his base are bored by the truth, bored by unity, bored by responsibility… the thing that attracts them and energizes them is angry, emotionally charged opinions that they can use to start a fight… and they’ll work to make it as ugly as possible. They love division, destruction, bullying… anything that can increase hatred and chaos feels good to them. They sniff it out and then they feed off of it. It is clear to me when watching a variety of political youtube channels, that when a discussion among progressives starts venting their anger, that is when the trolls appear. It gives them a boost, like a huge injection of vitamins… and work to entangle intelligent people in a fruitless and frustrating effort to present facts, data, and credible information to these people who hate facts, data, and credible information. The level of anger and frustration these Trumpers inspire, can interfere with the part of our brain that supports rational thought. It’s difficult to be rational when we are in a hyper-emotional state. We’ve spent four years being abused and all of us have very strong emotional responses to it. I am enraged, disgusted, shocked, riddled with grief, and emotionally exhausted by what we’ve had to live through. At this point, I believe we need to do everything we can boost the morale of democrats, inspire hope, and energize our voters to do everything they can to support our cause. It seems to me that if we continue to put energy in voicing our many grievances, we will be energizing Trump’s base, fueling their fire rather than our own. Too many of our people have given up, or are too scared to participate in such a hate filled election… some are convinced it doesn’t matter what we do- we can’t win and some are planning to repeat 2016 by not voting as once again they don’t like either candidate. We need to spend these critical weeks leading up to election ENERGIZING OUR BASE, boosting their confidence, getting them excited about participating. Once we’re in the white house, we can focus on our grievances and hopefully get some satisfaction demanding accountability. Just my point of view.

    3. @Sharon Snow One more thing. I’ve been recently focusing on trying to be respectful to some of these trolls. I don’t agree with them but I don’t argue with them. I’ll just make a simple response when they attack me. For example… today someone was hatefully challenging me on something I’d written, and they listed all kinds of crazy conspiracy theories as facts. I responded, “Oh wow! Those are some very scary ideas.” My statement was true and vague, but was not disrespectful. I can’t remember other examples but I’ve found it to be quite rewarding to be vaguely polite without directly challenging these nuts. It throws them off balance and their responses are no longer hateful… in fact I’ve even had a couple people apologize to me as they misinterpreted my lack of attack as support. It leaves them dazed, confused, and quiet, You ought to try it… it’s fascinating. If someone says coronavirus is a hoax, respond with “I heard Trump say that!!!” They don’t understand anything that is not an attack. This completely disarms these people and that is satisfying to me.

    1. If he only had a brain…lol….or a heart…or even courage….no yellow brick road to some magical wizard to make it all go away

    2. @Steve Nuhn On what failed computer model did the world shut down on? Was it even peer-reviewed. This is why you probably get called a sheep often.

  6. “Happy” Corona Day USA! An extra Pandemmy for your Country dear u.s. citizens! Today you passed the milestone of 200.000 fatalaties and you reached this in no time! This means that you only need 90,000 more dead to catch up with World War II. Yes Trump kept his promise in this regard and America is great again! But I’d rather congratulate you on healing this pandemic or at least for keeping the pandemic under control. That would really be a reason to celebrate. We Germans are well known for our penchant for long compound words. Like “Bezirksschornsteinfegermeister” or “Backpfeifengesicht” (just copy/paste it in google translate if you want the translation).

Now we got a new compound word:………..(drum-roll)…………… It’s *COVIDIOT* ………..We use it for people who denies the pandemic or people who plays it down despite better knowledge. Well it’s not so impressive like “Bezirksschornsteinfegermeister” i must admit. But the big plus of covidiot is that you don’t need to translate it.
With greetings and wishes for better times to all of us from Germany!

  7. Dr. Fauci I forgot to say thank you for emphasizing that it is the practice of medicine, an evolving process. I always admire, my own politics aside, that you do not allow people to put you in a position versus the president, because that is not your problem solving focus. It serves no purpose. His actions/ non actions speak for themself. Jeanne

    1. With respect to it being an evolving process, and that the data was not fully understood at the outset of the pandemic and still not fully understood, perhaps everyone can give the President more latitude. He does personally control the behavior of 320 million people and we already know that half the population automatically ignores whatever he says regardless of any benefit it might have.

    1. @spiritseeker you see real Americans know english and how to spell. It’s right 😉 again, work on your propaganda it helps its validity. Pro tip yo

    2. This is sadly too true. I know a hard right person. When anything comes on slightly negative about trump, they swear at the video device they’re watching it on and switch to some cross dresser in a basement speaking about conspiracies and of course Fox News on the tv.

    1. Rodney OHara Hippocrates, who wrote the Hippocratic Oath for Physicians “First, do no harm.” Both these men embody the Great Compassion, the authentic calling of the Healer.

    1. We may be better in the winter since people are less likely to go outdoors. It’s just that some people STILL need to be reminded to wash their hands.

    1. What part of contagion don’t people understand.
I heard the government is lying about Covid 19, because they don’t want to panic people. Its a know fact that Covid 19 can enter through the eyes, and works its way to the brain. If that is true, than wearing face mask, or goggles may start a panic.

    1. Pete M. SECURE your right to life,LIBERTY, and the pursuit of HAPPINESS no matter what, even in a pandemic or world war

  8. Thank you both for an intelligent, sane conversation with great advise. It is refreshing to hear reasonable thinking.
