  1. As a long time Philly resident, that statue should have come down a long, long time ago. Actually, it should have never gone up.

    1. BonefishBoards I wasn’t addressing you, I was addressing frictionXxx. I’m not racist at all.

    2. BonefishBoards No worries! These are hard times for a lot of us. #solidarity ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼

    1. Oh you big silly you’re being emotional. This guy was not a white supremacist he was a progressive Democrat. Stop your racism and stop your hatred.

    2. Yeah they gave people ideas doing that
Probably other statues are going down in the next few days

  2. God said in last day that he going to remove every idol and statue because it Idolatry and blasphemy!! THANK YAHUAH

    1. If that’s the case remove lady liberty, all the ww2 moments, And Lincoln’s statue

    1. @Tom AW your racist ways are on the brink of extinction, Social media and video has denied you the ability to hide it anymore. Enjoy your time in oblivion.

  3. Finally, thank God. Tired of seeing that huge symbol of a racist when I walk through Center City. He had the same spirit as Bull Conner, Richard Guiliani, George Wallace, J. Edgar Hoover, etc.

    1. @Carlos Stranger I guess you also support destroying the Colosseum since that was also built by slaves? In fact, lets just be sure and destroy every building older than 100 years.

    2. @ZoomerX24 I know right? People have fully crossed over into delusional/psychotic break territory.

  4. That man was the face of police brutality against Black people of Philadelphia. First as Police Commissioner then as Mayor. Let him burn! He was a true bigot!!!

    1. @Der Deutsche-Scotsmen I’ve seen it for myself as a child. He made Black Men stand on the city corner and strip naked. All the while he stood there with a blow horn. He said that he would stop gang activity. Not once did he ever go against the white gangs or the mob, which were heavy in the part of the city that he was from ( South Philly) F him and anyone who is affiliated, related or connected to him.

    2. @Daddy love lol that had little to do with just “white gangs”. He might’ve been racist, sure but the mob wasn’t gone after for a reason. They had so much corruption nd influence, due to their organization. Very few black gangs are even organized enough to escape the law like they did

    1. @Bill Nye There’s 72 genders Guy to change the justice system it’s clearly racist towards minorities .

  5. And only now this statue is removed? It tells you all you need to know about the institutional racism and bottomless hypocrisy in the US.

  6. Why was it still there?.. NOW YALL WANT TO MOVE IT .. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN GONE!!!

    1. how are republicans commies??? Conservatism is a right belief And I hate racists, as do most of us. disappointed in u batman

    2. Commies? Pretty sure Republicans are not communist but hey if you hate commies, that’s awesome. Communist is just as oppressive as fascism.

    3. @Manny Escuela he was a Democrat Philadelphia has been run by Democrats for a long time if any one is to blame for the inequality in this city its them.

  7. Today they Removed the statue of Frank Memo
Tomorrow they will Removed the statue of Washington Lincon
Day after tomorrow they will Removed the statue of Jesus Christ

  8. Growing up in South Philly, we really caught it under his reign. We were terrorized by the police the entire time he was Mayor. He taught me how “NOT” to trust the police! I’m 60 and I still don’t trust them!

  9. “It is remarkable that the statue was brought down”. What’s remarkable is that the statue was there in the first place.
