I don’t agree that closing is the answer. If 95% of people would follow the health guidelines, it would go down. People who are purposely defying the rules continue the spread. It was reported that during the lockdown, only 39% of America followed guidelines. If Trump could just see that simple fact of tightening the health guidelines, we could go back to normal sooner. That is how many countries got it under control now.
Trump wants to do herd immunity and thus, risk thousands more dead and prolonged spread. , he encourages his followers to disregard the rules. As a result, the virus will be with us for a long time. —longer than necessary.
